NEW: MK Rapid Double Gang Socket Model K2747STWHI for quick and easy mains electrical fitting.

Welcome to my first look at the MK Rapid Fit Double gang/socket designed to speed up your installations and make connecting mains safer and more reliable. The model tested and previewed is K2747STWHI which MK label as their Logic Range and labelled rapid but is a similar style connector as the Wago style connections but built into the rear of a domestic socket ideal for the competeent DIY person or qualified electricians.
Please do not attempt any electrical work unless you are a competent person, also ISOLATE any mains before completing any electrical work STAY SAFE.

Would it not have been better if there was a fourth CPC lever / clamp to allow for 2xRFC and 1xSpur and Earthing for metal back box ? What's the max size conductor that will fit into the clamps 4mm 10mm ?

Yes I totally agree and mention that in the video. They are still are great time saving socket though just could do with a few improvements.

If you don’t use the correct wire spec or don’t push the cable all the way home then maybe it could slip BUT when used correctly they are a great time saving piece of kit. I’ve used them multiple times and a quick pull test when installed confirms a great connection.

MK stuff isn't quite what it used to be, but I'm glad they're still innovating, I wonder what took the industry so long to produce Wago style accessories? Will we ever see Wago style CUs? Don't mention America, the home of Knob & Tube wiring, and they still like their wire-nuts.

Haha 😂 - Virgin in a brothel I think was the line. Yeah I do like the MK stuff but I know what your saying. I really don’t know why they took so long it seemed like an obvious progression giving how long the quick connector has been out.
