Here is a question tho. Could I put paddles and aux buttons on a manual transmission and then map both the paddles and the audio button to work with light show / external lights or a horn and siren?

Hello, excellent video. Why not just use the 3 new AUX buttons by popping off the 3 AUX tops and replacing the old single 3 blank piece with the new 3 AUX button tops? I was under the impression that the 3 actual buttons are under the stock assembly. Where did you buy the button assembly? I would like to buy just the 3 new AUX buttons.

I wasn't aware there were buttons under the blank piece. That sure would be easier and cheaper if that works. Do they sell just the buttons though? I bought mine from Steve White Parts.

@@WoodchuckJim I think the website that has the tazer has smartened up to this too.. They now sell just the buttons, not sure why it was originally stated that we must disassemble like this when they just pop off. zautomotive.com/product/aux-buttons/

Does the Tazer need to be plugged into the ODBII port for the Aux buttons to work? I'm able to assign the buttons and they work with the Tazer plugged in, but once it's unplugged they no longer function. I reached out to Z Automotive and haven't gotten a response. Love your vids - keep them coming!

NCGermerican yes it must be plugged in for any button remapping to work

Really appreciate the response. I assume you leave yours plugged in all the time? I'm worried about kicking it through the firewall when I apply the e-brake. Things like that seem to happen to me now that I'm in my 40's......

NCGermerican I leave it in all the time. I don’t use my e brake in automatic cars when parking so not a worry for me, but just be careful if you do, lol

Remove the screws holding the OBDII port and push it up into dash and ty wrap it down to keep the Tazer out of harms way.

Got it done but getting the air bag off wasn’t that easy The right hand side was easier because of being right handed. thanks for the remapping info.

nice video you got a new subscriber :D, i had a question is there a way to set eco mode as one of those buttons instead of the other drive modes that you had and if so how? and when you change the drive modes do you have to have srt pages enabled at all times to be able to switch between the different modes or can remap the buttons and then turn off srt pages to get the scat pack splash screen?

Thanks! I don't think ECO is an option for the mapping. You don't need SRT to be on for the mapping, but you won't be able to use track mode or eco if its off. I love the bee splash but I like the SRT functions more. With the new tazer firmware you can also select a default drive mode it will automatically go to when you start the car now. I have mine default to sport now.

It looks like you removed the ground instead of the negative, though I doubt it mattered
