Mark Rutte takes over as NATO Secretary General, replacing Jens Stoltenberg after a decade of leadership. In his first speech, Rutte laid out bold priorities: strengthening NATO's defense, accelerating Ukraine's accession, and maintaining military aid to Kyiv. With the Netherlands playing a key role in supplying F-16 jets to Ukraine, Rutte's leadership signals continued support for Ukraine's fight. Can he unite the alliance and secure stronger U.S.-European ties? Watch to find out what's next for NATO!

He might be even more pro Ukraine than Stoltenberg was. And Jens was also very pro Ukraine.

Both are puppets .. nothing more … it’s US that decides of its proxy war in Ukraine and its Us that decides what’s going on in nato

Rutte was PM of the Netherlands when Russian-backed seperatists shot down flight MH17 over Eastern Ukraine, killing almost 200 Dutch civilians. He absolutely despises Putin, so that's obviously a good thing for Ukraine.

I support Rutte as head of the NATO. He is a strong believer in the right for Ukraine to defend itself without restrictions. He wants Ukraine to be a NATO member as soon as possible. He wants to make the NATO stronger because of the russian agression against the free world and especially Ukraine. I didn’t support his party when he was our p.m. but i do support him now. I am from The Netherlands.

Don't hold your breath. When he was the Prime Minister of The Netherlands (where i am from), He created one crisis after another such as the childcare benefit scandal, taking the livelyhood of many farmers, under his reign, many hospitals where closed, raising the prices for healthcare, groceries, fuel, public transportation up to the point where many citizens can't even afford a roof over their head or even food and become homeless, set the border wide open for pretty much everyone, even those that have a record, then give them alot of stuff, like a roof over their head, food, clothes and yet some of them still have the audacity to complain saying stuff like the home they've been given.... (that's right "given") is too small when we have quitte a few citizens of our own that are homeless that would be more then happy to to even get a roof over their head at all... And this is only a small part of the things he caused and now he is the leader of NATO... I am sorry but i find it hard to trust him.

Seems like a good choice But he needs to get the European members of NATO to up their defence spending to about 3%. Its good for the economies and manufacturers and tech companies as well as employment

Háborúban álló országot nem lehet felvenni a NATO-ba. Tehát egy időre jeggelve van ez a kérdés.

What's it matter anyway? Countries donate their stuff and NATO hasn't accepted Ukraine in still... I mean it's good he's 'on side' and all, but what does that even change near / long term until the war is over? Seems party politics in each country dictates what actually gets donated, there's little in the way of a united front beyond PR posturing
