I already chatted with India on snapchat, but I thought I would put this on the video too: I have short, straight as a board hair (i love watching India because she's genuine and I find a lot of her tips are useful to me also) I bought and have been using the purple (Volume) version of this line, and I really like it! It's great to add moisture but not weigh down the hair. My mom is also thrilled because all of these products are Gluten free! She has had a difficult time finding GF hair products that really work and are affordable! so Yay!

Try not to put too much product on your roots. Usually your roots already have enough natural oils to keep the top of your head moisturized. So just add a little bit of gel/cream at your roots and be sure to scrunch all the way up to your head so that it’s getting definition as well. Or add mouse or foam to get volume at your roots. Hope this helps!

Some people just have curlier roots than other ppl…Mine type is 2B/C, but TRIES not to curl til an inch away from my crown…Pineapple during sleep time and sleep on a silk pillowcase (w/satin or silk scrunchie for pineapple-ing…) You’ll have volume in the morning when you can scrunch those roots w/ water & deep conditioner mixed…to curl more!🤩

I think it's absolutely amazing that companies are starting to come out with more natural and affordable products :) I would love to try this line out, but do u think it would work for someone like me with has a mixture of curly and wavy hair?
@indiabatson26
@indiabatson26 7 жыл бұрын
YESSS ! It makes me so, so happy I consider myself to have a mixture of waves and loose curls, so i think it would work well for anyone with mixed textures!! I didn't find it to be too intense or heavy where it would only work for tight curls

I found that although these products claimed to be sulfate free, they lathered up and stripped my hair just like any other sulfate. After looking at the ingredients and doing some research, I found that they include sulfites...so basically the same thing. So disappointing.

That second ingredient Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate isn't a sulfate, but it is coconut derived. I've found that anything with coconut is terrible on my hair. Don't know if you have the same problem. Bummer, because coconut is in everything!

I just bought the shampoo and conditioner from this product line. This is my second time using NYM products. The first product I ever used from the NYM collection was the Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. Today I also picked up a bottle of the NYM Beach Babe dry shampoo. Every time I go get my hair cut the lady says I have a natural wave to my hair. So I have been trying to curl my hair lately with an air dry cream and a strong hold mouse. So I thought if I got a shampoo for curly hair it would help bring out more of my natural curls. And after one use I notice my hair is a little bit more curly/wavy than normal. I love the smell of it too. I was planning to buy the NYM hair growth shampoo and conditioner set but target didn’t seem to have that many NYM products in store today.

@OpalMoonstone247
@OpalMoonstone247 Жыл бұрын
I literally just found out that Maui Curl Quench has the bad alcohols in the conditioner. I've been using it for about 4 months, but my hair has been so stressed out lately. So, I actually just brought home this NYM Tahitian Gardenia line to try out. Maui isn't terrible, but it's definitely something you'll have to take a break from for a while, maybe revisit it later, at least in my experience. I have wavy 2c hair, about medium density and a mix of low and high porosity. I did try Maui's flaxseed line, but it was disgusting. I returned it immediately. I know it works for some people but all it did was make my hair limp, stringy, and stinky LOL for real though. Curl Quench shampoo is ultra cleansing, which I like, but it's also drying. The problem I have lately is tangles and the conditioner doesn't seem to penetrate my hair enough to detangle. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this NYM line, especially since I've already been enjoying their flexible curl shaping gel with the defining cream as stylers. I realize this is a six year old question, but I thought I'd share my experience. I hope you've found something that works for you too 💙

It's alright. It's thick and leaves my hair soft but it doesn't keep it moisturized enough for definition in my opinion.

Hey India! I've noticed with my natural wavy / curly hair, it gets damaged SO easily and I've tried anything. If i straighten it just once it gets split ends like no other and then my ends are not as curly like the rest of my hair. Whenever I get hair cuts / trims my curly hair is SO much more defined and I love it. Do you suggest anything? I've tried lots of shampoos/conditioners etc and idk what else to do but to cut off heat COMPLETELY (which is hard but I'm getting there). I only use heat maybe twice a month ? Thanks girl!

I have wavey hair but my skin is so sensitive and I have fruit and nut allergies. To the point where I can't have it get on my skin. I can't seem to find a shampoo and conditioner without sulfate, parabens and silicones as well as not having the stuff I'm allergic to in it. So while I'd love to go natural I'm kind of in a bind. The stuff I use now is orgnx the biotin collegan one. It's less harsh on my skin and doesn't irritate as much. It says no sulfates but definitely still has silicones and parabens. It doesn't strip as much and I've noticed it's fine as long as I only wash my hair once a week and I use argan oil afterwards. Does anyone have any recommendations for me my hands are kinda tied. I need something without fruit or nut oils. Aloe is fine, argan oil, chamiomlle I just can't have anything with coconut, almond or fruit oils.

Hi India!!! I have hair that is just like yours and I'm currently using the SheaMoisture coconut and hibiscus shampoo and conditioner and I love them, but I want to try to the DevaCurl products, and now I also want to try the products you reviewed. Which do you recommend I should try? My hair description: wavy/curly (like yours), it is dry in the middle (kinda weird), it gets frizzy if I don't use a hair masque for frizzy or dry hair (because I live in Florida), and my hair is thick.

Do you know any UK available products for someone that is kinda low on cash. I'm trying to embrace my hair for once as it is a mix of slightly wavy straight, and 2A and 2B waves. I'm interested in trying the CG method, but in the UK everything seems quite expensive.

First, I like Argan Rain Shampoo for what it doesn't contain, namely, a lot of harmful chemicals; second, I like it because it contains a lot of natural ingredients known to be good for hair, and third, I like the way it leaves my hair, shiny and soft. All in all, it's a very good product.

Thanks for the review! Might have to check these out. Also if I can offer a little tip: you might want to go a shade darker in the concealer or do a triangle shaped application. It looks a little bright. I'm really sorry if I've offended you, only trying to help. Love your channel x

+IndiaBatson I came across your channel looking for a review on this line as I just recently peeped this at Walgreens.. I have long, thick, curly 3 b/c ,low porosity hair. ..2 Questions 1)..in your opinion would the Curl Defining benefit this hair? && 2)..It's been a few months since this video..Would you still recommend it? ..Why or why not LOL ..🤔 I guess that was 1,2,3 Questions Haha TFS :)

I love the styling cream from this line...it's great! I tend to prefer gels but this was really great! It was also only $10 for me so definitely a good thing to go for!
