ALSO (sorry I’m commenting as I’m watching): I really love that you talk about dat flaky scalp!! (God I kind of hope nobody ever finds these comments I make on curly and asmr videos 😂) Anyway, it’s important that we talk about “unsatisfactory” things and deshame dandruff. You’re a beautiful woman, you seem to have normal hygiene (despite your claim to the contrary haha), and you have a flaky scalp. Sebbhoreic dermatitis is a medical condition that we literally can’t help. Mine definitely seems to be seasonal, but I’ve found apple cider vinegar (unfiltered) to help the most; a couple of curly girls on instagram have also talked about a line with acv integrated that could be a good option for us as well. OH MAN YOU JUST MENTIONED MOPTOP CC. The curly custard is my favorite product I’ve found. I get great hold and definition from it and highly recommend it for anyone who is trying to simplify their routine. Okay I think I’m done. I really just need to start my own curly videos at this point hahaha. ❤️

kalliedoscope I actually did that one time and people got so upset Bc I stupidly didn’t split my hair down the middle, so ppl said it wasn’t fair. Which made sense! I’d love to do it again with my hair parted in the middle 💛 and yes girl!! Dandruff is real and I struggle with it. I’m going to make a video next week on scalp health because ppl don’t talk about it enough. ALSO yes the custard is BOMB 🙌
@kalliedoscope6 жыл бұрын
IndiaBatson I watched that video (around the time it came out) and thought it was great! I’d suggest even just switching the sides of your part - meaning one wash day put your favorite dupes on your smaller side of your part (the lesser hair side) and the high end on the fuller side; then on another wash day, the opposite way. It’s hard to account for dew points but if you try to do it with days that have similar weather conditions and activity, I think it would be more true to how your hair looks. Or yknow you could just do one day of full dupe hair and another similar weather day of full high end. That would probably be easiest hahaha. #curlscience ➿⚗️

After watching your videos, I finally saved up and invested in the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Masque, which doesn't come cheap in India (1500 rupees) and I have been loving it. My damaged hair is slowly being repaired and now I can see the texture even without product in it! We don't get a lot of curly hair lines here so I just use what we've got, but the investment in the deep conditioner has been an investment I'll treasure. Would love to try the Yogurt variant but the Yogurt line isn't available here :(

I'm also interested manuka honey and mafura oil line. I use the coconut and hibiscus line and YES! They are expensive! I have very dry frizzy hair and couldn't get my hands on the manuka honey hair masque. What i did was i added honey to my oil mixture!! I had really great results from it! I know we all love using those commercial products. But when our bank account can't handle it diy comes to rescue! We do have cg friendly products in India! And those are local brands which means you don't have to spend much! Lemme mention some brands. Aroma Magic (i use their abc shampoo, it gets the sticky castor oil out of my hair in just one rinse, without stripping my hair), Plum, Wow science, Rustic art, Forest essentials, Khadi (not sure about silicone), pure sense, just herbs, soul tree, The body shop rainforest line, st. Botanica, mamaearth (i use their hair mask and in my opinion it's the best hair mask I've used till date! I add honey to it as well and use it as a pre poo once a week. It works like magic for me.) The moms co. For stylers and gel Arata hair creme and gel. Arata has a shampoo too. See so many brands! 😃

I'm living in Germany too, and I know this sounds weird, but I've actually been using the Alverde körperlotions from DM as a curly hair conditioner. If you look at the ingredients in the Curl Talk conditioner that she recommended and if you look at the ingredients in the lotions, they are practically the same. I just apply the lotion when my hair is still wet in the shower and maybe mix in some more jojoba mixed oil from Müller to the lotion. Then do praying hands. It sounds crazy, but just do some research on the Inhaltsstoffe, and maybe try it out. Alverde is only 2€ anyways compared to these 8€ products. Also, side note, i dont use any of the alverde, lavera, etc. conditioners because they all have more ingredients I can't pronounce or recognize than the lotion has. And I have never had a problem putting the lotion on my skin, but if I used the conditioner as a lotion on my skin, i know i would have break outs on my back or something.

Day 2 & 3: Refresh with a little water and that refreshing product? Day 4: Cowash and reapply all the products from day 1? Day 5 & 6: Refresh with only one product Day 7: Wash with regular shampoo and apply all products I'm confused on what my actual daily routine should be. Should I be rewetting completely daily or not?
@sophiemartin32266 жыл бұрын
well depends, if on day 2 your curls or waves looking a little loopy then just refresh the pieces that need to be fixed and if on day 3 4 5 6 or however long you haven't washed your hair, are looking straight then refresh with water or if you want you can apply a lightweight product that can bring them back to life.

The curly hair no poo and conditioner actually makes my hair dry and makes it even more greasy than it normally is. I’m hoping the products for wavy hair will change that. But, until I get the money to buy the wavy hair products, I’m gonna try one of the drugstore brands you’ve talked about and give them a try.

The only other clarifying shampoo I’ve seen with micellar is garnier whole ginger and micellar water. Great video!

I’ve been using the Delight Conditioner from Devacurñ and I like it too but I always use a deep conditioner now to give a tiny bit more moisture because I like 80’s glam metal hair but I like it slightly more defined 🤣

I currently have the coconut shea moisture and am waiting run out of it to get Not Your Mother. I have the same hair type as you and desperately need a weightless shampoo

ApRiL3706 I think you will LOVE the NYM shampoo! It’s super weightless

Does Shea moistures coconut shampoo & conditioner weigh down your hair? I was thinking of buying it.
@ApRiL37066 жыл бұрын
@@gabbymeguiar3957 Yes. So if you have fine, closer to wavy hair don't get it. Try Not Your Mothers. I have thick but more on the wavy side hair, when I got a devacut and they used low poo, my hair had more volume.

I think a not so weightless shampoo would help keep hair down. My hair has started getting wavy and curly at the ends, all of a sudden, so I like knocking out the frizz.

What are the types of products that are good for enhancing 2b wave? Is there a particular order they need to be applied in? If so, what is the suggested order?

Have you tried mixing Melt into Moisture, 50/50, with Deep Sea Repair? I love this combo more than either on their own.

Hi India ! (S.O.S) I was wondering if you have any knowledge or would make a video about "protein overload". I started my curly girl journey over a year ago and had amazing results. I always used Devacurl shampoo and conditioner, but used shea moisture masks way too much. My hair went from luscious locks to scarecrow hella fast. I am having a hair crisis lol!
@daniellebartlett5776 жыл бұрын
I just got my NYM curl talk order!!! I also have DevaCurl wavy hairline too. How do you incorporate both lines? When do you decide to use the NYM shampoo over the Low-Poo delight and even the cream or gel products? Does it make a huge difference with your hair?
@indiabatson266 жыл бұрын
Danielle Bartlett hmm depending on the day and how my hair is feeling I’ve learned what products to use. Sometimes I mix the lines and sometimes I just think each line works best with its products. You will just have to play around is what I’m saying, basically. I hope love NYM as much as I so

Do you prefere the manuka honey and yoghurt masque above the manuka honey and mafura oil intensive hydration masque? Because that was your favorite in the beginning? Love your curls
@indiabatson266 жыл бұрын
LottieVD they are totally different. The Mafura oil one is for moisture. While he yogurt one is for definition (: I still love the Mafura oil one! (: just didn’t make the cut this year lol
