i practiced a day now and i have to say steve has by far the best 12f punish in the game haha. if you pull of the tech db32 becomes guaranteed. nobody ducks steve after 21 (fujin) and if they start doing it you have a 50/50 mixup with b2. this is the craziest 12f punish in the game hands down

The tech is in the game since Tekken 6 In the same way that it makes the peekaboo extremely strong after 2.1, nobody talks about the Flicker, which increases to +14 in hit and +3 in block. By the way, I didn't know that you could cancel the Flicker by pressing forward on Tekken 8, which is new, so the same sorcery works with the Flicker for even more frame traps.

@@ranges787 most likely adjusting the behavior on back turned opponents, if not outright pushing the cancel window later in the animation to make it +8/10 on hit from the front.

Timing, man. This is the same tech as PKB f2 ~ Sonic Fang. It helps if you hold forward, iirc, but the timing is all manual. Try doing PKB f2 first, it might help.

b2 is 17 frame, yoshi flash is 6-9 frame, so if you hit the 21 pkb cancel tech you're +12 you beat flash startup by 1 frame.

Ehh 😒 i dont see steve as a top tier character even after the patch. Tekken devs are just fixing unintended behaviour stuff and calling them buffs with Steve. Characters like Kazuya and Paul received genuine buffs in this patch not just "unintended behaviour" or devs deep insistence on the play rs being restricted to Lionheart stance eventhough Feng's reverse kenpo blows it out of the water with much superior options
