Old World Fantasy Battle has been an itch for me and the dictatorship of recent removals has made me disinclined to stay positive about 40K in the way I had hoped it to be so very much like Badruk I think I will also be leaving the database to 👋 I should have seen the writing on the wall with the treatment of Gorkamorka instead of trying to be positive about the future of Orkamity

The beastboss on foot is a walking reverse mullet--party up front all business (quite boring) on the back. And Stevo, what are you talking about? The current/just-previous combat patrol has deffkoptas and a _DEFF DREAD_ in it.

Thankfully, the Big Mek w/ SAG is already plastic. I’ve said it before that the Big Mek w/ SAG won’t be replaced because he’s already in plastic and is a fairly new miniature. The Big mek w/ KFF on the other hand is finecast, so he most certainly is in the chopping block of getting removed.

cheers for the quick vid! agree re: battlwagon, a missed opportunity. There was a table of contents shown in the comunity vid, and you can see: big mek w/kff gone, and boss nob on smasha squig (gone) the model becomes a squig hog boy in the combat patrol description, workshop, badrukk, zagstruk, grotsnik all gone. Tank bustas stay!

Where are you getting this from? I counted that we have 57 datasheets in the index, and the Big Mek adds 1, so we're losing 7 that exist now. We *could* lose every resin kit, but I also don't see the reinforcement units making it, so I could believe we'd lose: Big 'Ead Bossbunka, Mekboy Workshops, Tankbustas, Big Mek w/ KFF, Nob w/ W-Banner, Mad Dok Grotsnik, and Boss Zagstruk. I'd be sad to see Zagstruk go, but if it's him or the Kaptin, I'll take the Kaptin any day. He's the only Freeboota character we have and he fills a more significant niche as the leader of the Flash Gitz, whereas Stormboyz work fine as small reconnaissance units for flying around and tagging objectives.

@@donnylurch4207 in the video they show the index of the codex, its missing various datasheets: big mek with Kff, zagstruk, badrukk, grotsnik, mekboy workshop, nob on smasha squig, nob with banner. Nob on smasha squig is probably merged with the x3 Squighog Boyz either as a captain of sorts or a 4th boy. Tankbustas still in. Ghaz also got a new sweep profile, and a new skill (Crits on 5+ on waagh i think)

I happened to get into 40K in September. I started with the introductory set, next I got some Boyz, and then decided that Orkz is BEST! Great time to be getting into it Orks, it seems. Definitely gonna grab the regular codex, as it will be my first. Might grab the cards for convienience, but no more models. Got to finish painting my 1000 pts

If we are loosing datasheets, my money is on anything that’s fine cast. So tankbustas, Big Mek w/KFF, Captain Badruck, Boss zagstruk, Nob w/bosspole, and finally Weirdboy. I hope I’m wrong really but they are the oldest models and it appear GW is trying to just remove them finecast line. A new codex is always an exciting and terrifying time. I just hope we have more Good detachments than bad or ok detachments.

I struggle to warm to beast snaggas, I've always preferred the scrapyard look of ork machinery so a snakebites themed army just doesn't hit home. still its a solid army core and good to start people off with orks!

The Codex had the detachment and stratagems, the data cards don't, which is a huge oversight but then again it forces you to get the Codex, or that's what it's been like for me with Necron and Tyranid

I think it's certainly worth buying one. Will be the most cost effective way of snagging some snaggas. They're nice kits and cool models.

I personally won’t buy the Datacards cause I didn’t really like the Space Marine Cards. And if I really want a reference to look at, I’ll just pull the rules up on my phone. I’ll probably buy the Codex simply because I wanna read the Lore and look at the artwork inside, so more for leisure reading more than anything else.

The great thing about the cards is that pre game, you can just take out the cards you need and it cuts out alot of clutter.
