I was there and left at 2:45 with my friend right before he showed up. Nobody would have suspected a vehicle to come up the street when he did. No vehicles drove up the street all night not even the police and it was nothing to stand in the middle of the street socializing. RIP to the victims

I know what she means when she says it seems surreal. I experienced a tragedy in Georgia where the ramp leading to the ferry collapsed and seven people drowned. I had just crossed over to the ferry when I heard a loud noise then screaming. When I looked back and saw people falling into the water, it was as if I was watching a movie. I immediately went into fight mode and started throwing out life preservers and helping to pull people out of the water.My coworker on the other hand went into fright mode and stood frozen for some time. It didn’t really hit me until later, every time I tried to tell someone about what took place and would cry.😢
