Whole anchovies are not an ingredient. The are stirred in with the egg and olive oil until they melt and disappear, although sometimes restaurants will add whole anchovies to the salad, it's not the way they are typically incorporated. Thanks!

Paul Prudhhomme invented/created the ‘blackened’ style of food preparation. It all began with his now famous blackened redfish...and the rest is gastronomy history. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I ate there in 1979. He was as wide as he was tall. During the last years of his life he could no longer walk. So he used a mobility scooter to get around. And he still was able to cook up a storm. Quite a guy! R.I.P. Paul.

We get the Voodoo Daiquiri (aka. Purple Drank) from Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar, 941 Bourbon St, New Orleans, LA 70116. Located at the end of the party area of Bourbon Street in a residential area. The Purple is very much an alcoholic purple shush drink. They do not offer a non-alcoholic version.

Have you heard of or have Yeyows Creole Cafe on your list to visit? I heard from a local that it is some of the best soul food in New Orleans. They have a drink called the "Bow Wow" and if you can drink it all by yourself, they will give you one free. I would love to see one of you take that challenge...lol I have also been informed of a couple other hidden local gems such as Studio BE which has exhibitions from a local artist, Elizabeths Restaurant know for their French Toast Burrito and J's Seafood Deck in the French Market. Emeril the famous chef recommends Casamentos for oysters which made me think of Lisa and how you both rate Acme Oyster House as the best. I would love your take on how it compares to Acme. Thanks again for the videos. You are very detailed and give us good information to decide whether we want to explore the places that you have visited. Lisa, I love it when you dance......sooo cute!
