NEW ORLEANS | Willie Mae’s Fried Chicken | Ruby Slipper | The Joint BBQ | Cafe Du Monde | Gumbo Shop

We’re back to our favorite foodie city, New Orleans!
Our first stop off the plane was to our favorite fried chicken joint, Willie Mae’s Scotch House for their amazing James Beard award recipient fried chicken.
For late night snack, we made our obligatory stop at Crescent City Pizza. The best slice of pie on Bourbon Street.
For breakfast, we tried a new place based on recommendations from you guys, Ruby Slipper. Only open for breakfast to lunch, these guys sling some tasty breakfast dishes!
Ice cream after breakfast? Sure, why not! Kilwins in the French Quarter makes some unique in-house made ice creams.
For lunch, we found the best bbq joint in New Orleans? Maybe! It’s the highest rated bbq in NOLA, The Joint. Let us tell you, they smoke a mean brisket and ribs!
For a mid-day snack, the Original Cafe Du Monde with their cafe au lait with beignets hit the spot!
Our last dinner in New Orleans went down at the Gumbo Shop. Their Chicken & Andouille Sausage gumbo was firing on all cylinders! Perfection.
That wraps up our foodie adventure in New Orleans. Great city, friendly people, and delicious food. We love NOLA!

The map the office gave us called them tombs. There were so many other notable people buried there dating back to the Civil War. Highly recommend visiting here if you have a couple hours to explore. Those eggs Benedicts.. Wow!

Just came back from New Orleans last week. One of my favorite cities. Cafe Du Monde Beignets best ever melt in your mouth. Willie Maes I had the best fried catfish ever my sister and best friend said chicken was delicious. You guys should go to Deanies Seafood Resturant ! Great video ❤️

I'm a NOLA native and I don't care for Cafe du Monde's beignets because they're dough-y. I like a more hollow beignet. Not sure if you've been to Loretta's Pralines but I'm told her beignets are lighter and they put CDM to shame. Can't wait to try them on my next visit home. I used to like a place called Morning Call but it's been many years since I've had it so I'm not sure if its still as good, and I don't believe there's a location near the French Quarter whereas Loretta's is in the Quarters. I'm glad you guys got plenty of good eating. 🤗⚜

Thanks Tanya. We did walk to the Hard Rock site the first night. The Police closed off around 2 blocks around the site for safety reasons. Very sad and unfortunate event. Hope you do get to visit NOLA one day, you just never know!

I had to watch this New Orleans Classic Video again ! I miss going to the Big Easy, and eating Oysters at Acme ! The Joint has outstanding BBQ ! I'm just 75 miles away and can't wait to go back ! When I place an order at the Cafe d' Mone , I request my order to be well done. The outside is really crispy, and inside is almost hollow ! Now I think I'll watch your new Mexican related Video ! Last visit to NOLA was before the shutdown. Very safe in the tourist areas, but gets a bit weird after 1-2am. lol Hard Rock Cafe was open, no casino in the cafe. The Hard Rock Hotel that they were building partially collapsed (Google the news about it), not sure when that project will resume.
