Brand new and great looking Pilatus PC-24 HB-VSA is seen taking-off at Bern Airport, during a test flight. Bern Tower said goodbye with the words: You have a very nice looking aircraft... :)
The stunning Swiss made super versatile jet is expected to achieve FAA and EASA approval imminently. The official handover of the first customer Pilatus-Jet is scheduled to go ahead before the end of this year.

Great catch of the PC-24 Matt. Livery looks great. Lovely take-off and climb rate. Pilatus takes their time to develop a great aircraft, they do their homework well and rest assured they will be selling that aircraft for a long time, just like the PC-12.

One of the most capable and best looking aircraft around. Cant wait to see it IRL. In Australia there are allot of PC12's due to bush runways, which we have allot of. And that's the jet I'm buying when i get my imaginary business running. YBBN.

Royal Flying Doctor Service is actually the launch customer and the PC24 will replace some PC12s. Apart from getting to the patient sooner it means getting the patient to a proper hospital more quickly it means the flying doctor service also gets to use the aircraft for another job sooner. Apart form it’s incredible STOL performance it has a wide combi door to get a stretcher in. It can also be flown by a single pilot. I work in the mining industry and there’s nothing worse than landing in some small regional airport and getting a crappy piston engined aircraft with six or seven other blokes. The PC24 means we can fly direct from a major airport and land on site directly. More time with family, more time to work. It’s also great news to guys injured. Because it can be flown by single pilot it also means it will be economical and affordable.

Matt, i think he may have seen you filming because he spooled up the rpm's heavy, and held the brakes longer than needed for that jet, that plane just wanted to leap off the runway,lol, the front wheel was a couple of inches off the runway on his takeoff roll before he actually rotated, and also a very nice livery, nice overall pal

It's intended to be since when operating on non paved runways, the gravel, grass, debris and so don't go up reaching the fuselage or the engines. This is expected to be the most reliable jet in the industry.

Nein, so einfach ist es nicht. Die Fliegerei ist ein sehr verrücktes Hobby. Ein Fliegerfan harrt stundenlang bei jedem Wetter aus: Wind, Regen, Schnee, eisige Kälte, sengende Sommerhitze oder Sturm. Es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung! Manchmal kommt kein Flieger vorbei, man hat Pech und wartet völlig vergebens. Ein andermal kommt vielleicht ein super toller Flieger vorbei, der einen ein unglaublich tolles Glücksgefühl beschert. Ein hübscher Flieger muss manchmal hart verdient werden. Cheers Matt

Levine Levine goudas engineering and engr. aids are so developped today that a plane is almost fully airworthy before its first flight so to me, it is a matter of the engineering team put together during development. Honda is just a name and the plane is 100% american. Originally, the best quality was found in the real best transonic fighters derivatives, Falcon 20, Sabreliner were simply large and solids Mystère 4 and F89 Sabre etc. and could dive at crasy speeds where a Learjet or Hawker would flutter and barely recover. There is no reason today that both Honda and Pilatus can keep up with a quality far superior to a marginal homologation.
