The thing about Shadow Shroom is that the damage only takes natural bulk into consideration as buckethead/knight/pyramid will die at the same rate as a normal zombie. Since Gargantuars, mechs, and bullies have no armor, it takes significantly longer to kill them. If you use plant food on a Shadow Shroom while a zombie is poisoned then it will automatically do 900 damage (45 level 1 peas) to them. (I don't know if it works in Reflourished. It does in vanilla)

@@ariztheackee505 Actually not since when the mech dies the zombie also dies. So the mech is basically the base zombie. Bucketheads/nights/pyramids on the other hand is just a regular zombie with armor on, once the armor is off it looks just like a regular zombie.

You really should use shadow shroom more often. The reason it killed the barrelhead and buckethead so quickly but did nothing to the garg is because shadow shroom ignores armor, so it takes the same amount of time to kill a basic or a barrelhead.

hey wolfy, heres a tip for apple morter. 1. His Damage has been buffed really high in exchange for his stun effect. 2. DO NOT use his plant food. it does no damage and is a waste of a plant food.

Regarding the barrelhead being "immune" spikeweed plant food, he's not, it's just that the plant food has a range from left-most tile to right-most tile in the lane, and he had just stepped past the left tile when you used plant food on spikeweed. In other words, there's a small section between the left-most tile on the lawn and your house where spikeweed doesn't reach because game mechanics

Wolfy, the pyramid and barrel head zombies are bulkier than the Knights. Each world has a "brickhead variant", which is the barrel head in this world. In dark ages, you'll have "turret head" zombies twice as tough as knights

Gimmick of the shadow shroom is that it bypass armor and damages the health directly. Buckethead, knight etc without their helmet/armor has the same health as a normal zombie hence why it can kills them so fast. For zombies like gargantuars, mechs or any other beefy zombies with large healthpool it makes no difference.

Here is a tip: If you are swarmed by imps, bucket head, brickhead or bully zombie, it's best to use a plant food on shadow shroom. Since all these afformentioned zombie die to poison easily, and shadow shroom's plant food basically poison everything on the field, it's only a matter of time until all those weak zombies die.

Most plants that inflict poison there poison debuff ignores armor thats why it's great against heavily armored zombies

Pro tip: attract zombies using sweet potato onto the side without planks and use primal pea shooter to push them off! You can also use chard guard too!

Hey Wolfy. Just wanted to give you a heads up about reflourished. 1. I fully beat it and each world is really hard and they all have their own version of the knight. But the new versions of knight in each world are tankier than the original knight. Also 2. Slowing plants like ice pea are super helpful and if you have sticky bomb rice, use her she is extremely helpful. And use witch hazel because she can turn the new knights in each world into free puff shrooms

The plants he had at hand did not complement at all the deck's gimmick. What he was doing was not going to work at all since he had no way to slow down the horde while having his Launchers in recharge, he could've bought Infini-Nut as a space-efficient wall plant to avoid getting the Bananas compromised, he could've bought squash for the Gargs and Chilli-bean for the Barrel-heads (Who would have likely had a entire row of zombies behind them so it would have got rid of them while also making the entire lane cease being a threat for a while). And of course Thyme Warp, 'nuff said.

Spamming power ups at the beginning of a level just to get more sun is NOT a good idea at all, it's good to see you using strats with the Electric Currant which nowadays is weaker than pre-buff Lightning Reed, but you have tons of stallers and instas to use, don't rely on powerups

The reason it's best to put plants down immediately on conveyor levels is that (this is in the code) the conveyor for some stupid reason runs faster without plants on it, so if you plant everything immediately, you'll get more plants.

I recommend using garlic or pumpkin to protect the electric currant from damage, as (I think) it still does damage when protected by a pumpkin and garlic will redirect them to the lane where the electricity is.

Fun fact: in the bonus levels, every world had a version of a brick head(ex; holo head (far future) and pyramid head (ancient egypt)). Their armor can survive 1 cherry bomb. Have fun.

i highly recommend if your playing with banana launcher use the twin sunflower and many stalling plants with imitated gold bloom it will help you get your banana launcher first and fast without the zombies getting one lawn mower or mowing your entire defense down, you should also put your banana launchers in the back spam twin sunflowers everywhere

Your banana launcher strategy could've worked, but you didn't run any stalling plants. The trick with plants like winter melon and banana is to stall out the first few waves to squeeze as much as sun out of them as possible. All your instants only made the waves go faster.

Tidbit on how the Shadow Shroom kills so quick It basically bypasses armor on a Zombie so large bulky zombies won’t die as quick in comparison to Bucket Heads, Barrel Heads, and Pyramid heads

Shadow Shroom is great for Armored Zombies like Pyramid Heads, and Knights... If a zombie eats it, they die as quick as a Browncoat no matter the armor

On most conveyor belt levels, you get a certain amount of each plant so sometimes if you have a coconut cannon or something like that, you get rid of him and the next plant on the conveyor belt will be him

Here's a tip: a plant fooded shadow shroom poisons EVERY ZOMBIE ON THE BOARD including gargs and cannons

The shadow shrooms damage goes through defenses but struggles against high hps like gargs the football mechs pile on mechs ect but go through bucket head zombies and makes the bucket heads defense nothing so it just shreds like it’s a normal brown coat if that helps
