someone can say "it's not canon", but dude....the Rivals games reintroduced Silver after 06 eraised itself from the timeline, meaning that they matter just as much as the Mainline games....(same with the Rush games.....they reintroduced Blaze) so because of that it's posible that Rivals gets some representation, just not likely

​@@szszabolcs9582 Bruuh exactly. There's a vid with Ian Flynn's Bumblekast I made a comment on regarding 06,Rush and Rivals. This is what I said: I disagree with both Flynn and apparently Sega if it's their logic, Rush Blaze is different from 06 Blaze because Rush is a spin-off title with her own story rather than in mainline title like 06, what adds to that is 06 mostly erased itself and would cause contradictions because if they were the same then the Iblis Trigger situation with Mephiles would've gotten defused. Along with that Rivals Silver isn't the same as 06 Silver because they have different backstory and Rivals Silver was more serious unlike 06 Silver being naive. In terms of game release order Flynn is right but timeline/dimension order not really. TLDR: Rush Blaze & Rivals Silver could be in the same dimension/time/world because both have fought Eggman Nega and both are shown together in Sonic Generations but since Rush came before 06 and Rivals came after you can say for both characters the spin-off games can be a fallback because 06 erased itself if that makes sense 😂.

Another character that could fit could be Emerl (or Gemerl considering it was created with Emerl's data). If the story is going more in-depth to Shadow's past and character, Emerl would fit very well as his story was being about getting researched by Gerald Robotnik.

2:23 Actually, Metal HAS interacted with Shadow. During the entirely of Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic was disguised as Eggman, and during Team Dark’s Story, Shadow directly asks who he believes to be Eggman something related to his past. Metal actually responds to this. I forget the exact details.

It could be Emerl. The reason I believe this is because his backstory is directly linked to Project Shadow. After all, Professor Gerald gave him a soul based off of Maria (much like Shadow), free will and an emotion based AI. Also in Shadow’s story of Sonic Battle, he formed a link with Emerl and when all of the 7 Chaos Emeralds were in him, Shadow activated Emerl’s free will by saying, Bring hope to humanity. It may not be a guarantee, but it is possible that Emerl might return.

I bet it's Maria. We know she's in the game bc of the voice actor leak*, but Sega hasn't officially announced her yet. Idk how she would really be playable though? Maybe it's like Sonic & Elise in 06, or just her as a companion again in STH 2005. If it is a playable character, I think Rouge makes the most sense. Since they said Frontiers was an inspiration for Shadow Generations, it wouldn't surprise me if they just grabbed Knuckles as a base and slapped Rouge over him and his moveset, just like SA2. As of right now, I 100% think it's Omega. He was literally the only one of the whole Sonic crew that wasn't in Gens and he has huge relations with Shadow. Him taking on Mephiles back in 06, Omega accompanied him same with certain routes in Shadow 05. Silver just seems very random, not saying it's been without a doubt deconfirmed but imo if they were going to make Silver playable again they wouldn't just slap him onto Shadow's story.

There could be eclipse the darkling, a black arms copy of shadow, who is more black arms than shadow, and has his own dark wisps called the dark arms, which form on his body (like shadows wings) into sonic cannons, wings, laser and armor. Sounds like power ups to me

The only way I can see it being Mephiles is if he returns thanks to the time eater and still remembers the event of 06 and because Shadow doesn’t, he tricks Shadow into thinking they were friends and uses it as a opportunity to slip back into reality upon helping Shadow defeat Black Doom and thanks to the mess of the Time Eater, Mephiles then is able to retrieve Iblis from the Timeline. So when you have beaten both Sonic & Shadow Generations, it can lead to a new final ending that has both Super Sonic & Shadow go up against Solaris 2.0

I think it's just a bios for Black Doom. If not then Doom Shadow. I highly doubt "Shadow" Generations will have another playable character other than "Shadow" himself, especially considering this is the Fearless Year of Shadow and that "Sonic" Generations only had "Sonic", and "Sonic" (Classic Sonic, but it's just a younger Sonic) playable. On a side note, I really look forward to this game!!! It looks so cool so far!

As much as I want Silver to be the 4th character, I think it's highly unlikely cuz this game has already been advertised as a Sonic and Shadow game (they already got the name and the boxart), and if Silver was that 4th character it wouldn't be a good idea to gatekeep his existence in the game. However there's hope in Silver being in the game as a DLC character, maybe at the end of the 3rd movie they'll tease Silver for the 4th one, then they'll announce Silver as DLC to ride the waves of hype following the movies.

My take that it's going to be android shadow that plays like classic sonic because you know it had it's lore when shadow was confused if he is the real shadow or an android. Or a super triple but it's hidden like SA2 when the final story is playable when you beat the hero and the dark story. But why i don't think it's the other characters first it says in the trailer "and antiheroes" so it may not be mephiles or eggman because they are pure villans but the idea of mephiles in this game is really cool but if he will be in the game he would only be a villan as a boss and also his gameplay mechanics would be very complex to implement and we already know that eggman is with the time eater. The second thing is it says "3 hedgehogs" so i don't think so it would be silver maybe metal sonic because he is not particularly a hedgehog he is just the same case as android shadow but i think it's android shadow more because, well, shadow... i guess.

Shadow Generations is mostly regarded as a way for new fans to get to know Shadow. Since the game is heavily based on his history, what if the hidden character is Maria? She's preeetty integral to his past. It could also be reminiscent of the Hero and Dark theme in Shadow 05.

I think it's simply a powered up version of Shadow. We haven't actually seen the Doom powers yet properly outside of the quick scene where he gets the wings. I would guess that it's "Doom Shadow" and the description is about how he gets the Doom powers, I don't think they have revealed all of the Doom powers fully yet so that's why it's being kept secret for now until closer to release

i mean…it has to be Silver right? Shadow and Silver were the only two characters in generations that weren’t at sonic’s party at the start of the game, then suddenly find themselves trapped in the white space, both as bosses no less. considering Shadow goes back to Kingdom Valley, with the possibility of a Mephiles boss fight, i feel like (for now) it’s safe to place the light of speculation onto Silver. It would make the most sense for how they aren’t around at the beginning, then are suddenly thrown into white space.

Shadow's story was already confirmed to be taking place at the same time as Sonic Generations, so I think of that rules out Eggman or anyone who is in suspended animation for most of the game, like Rouge. So if it's a new playable character, my money is on either Silver or Omega.

Omega being playable would be really nice, ngl.. Deepen Shadow and Omega's relationship like how 06 did it. I feel like their friendship that started out rough is something that Id love to see expanded upon

Imagine if it was Eclipse the Darkling from the Archie comics. It most likely still won’t happen, but he would fit in. Since he’s a Black Arms alien and has powers + Black Arms/Wisp powers that reminds me of Shadow’s Doom powers.
