Only used them for a short time. Now they come with delrin cups.

What does this exactly do? More droop means the rc sits lower? More droop means it gives more travel? It minimize the shock travel? Or jenerally it just sits a bit lower because of the short springs?

It does sit lower. Gives a lot more options for spring rates. Doesnt effect travel or maybe a half a mm. And i am out of them at the moment. Waiting on lower cups to get made.

Sorry, but I'm scratching my head as to figure out why would that be an "upgrade". You can also achieve a full droop (well, it's never completely full anyways) with the stock setup, or am I wrong? I don't get it. Sorry I'm just asking. Thanks for the video and for your explanations.

Mainly the idea is a better and easier spring rate change and adjustment. All the comp guys use Traxxas big bore shocks and I came up with a way to use a smaller shock body unit with this.

I was thinking the same thing... why not just spin the stock shock collars down to push the rods out for more droop... interesting...maybe it looks more scale to have the smaller springs and no shock collars?

There’s a couple of reasons to do this mod, one is getting a smaller diameter shock giving you more clearance on the chassis.(not having to use spacers/standoffs) secondly there are some killer spring options for the mini t springs. (Dlux fab) has more spring rates for finer tuning.

Awesome kit and product man!! It really is a great option for the Traxxas GTS shocks. I know a ton of people run them on every rig they own. I will definitely be getting this kit for all the GTS shocks I have in the near future.

What exactly is the advantage to this? It seems that losing all the threading adjustments in favor of only changing the springs for 3 options limits adjustments to only spring rates, without the ability to adjust ride height.

Because TRX4 springs are not soft enough. The mini T springs are as soft as you can get for circulation. These trucks are belly draggers or mostly cheater rigs so ride height is adjusted by moving shock positions on the multiple-position towers.

It would technically. But the issue would be when the shock extends all the way out the spring would be just sitting there.

Hey Cody. Good morning. 80%....wow....sweating just hearing you say that. Hahaha Nice kit. Just like run'n harder tire foams in the rear so they don't collapse and flip you back...same with the springs/coils. I would've went mediums or hard in the rear.

Yeah The new truck will have hardly any weight in the back so I started with soft. That may change once its fully together, that what makes this kit nice. Its an easy swap to try out something different.

I have a 1st-gen D110 , a Sport and a D110 I bought from a buddy that I actually fixed-up for him....them a scratch-built TRX4 that's kinda like a Sport but with a 2-speed I put together with extra parts for my son. My 1st-gen is the one I have all my time in....it's highly modded.

Great looking mod, what’s the advantage of having the springs such a short length versus softer springs that fit over like the stock ones?

G3516dude length of the spring isnt really the issue. Its mainly for the tuning purpose of them. The softest traxxas spring still isnt soft enough in most cases. These mini t springs are also kind of in between the traxxas rates.

Thanks for the explanation, I currently have an Axial SCX10 2 and have put the soft ‘white’ springs on and am much happier with the suspension. I’m about to purchase a TRX4 sport and make it into a C2 comp rig, so will keep this mod in mind. I live in Australia - would you ship down under? Really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work👍🏻

Dwayne Baker ehh. They are gen7 shocks. They will work but need work to make them great. There is a reason trx shocks are on lot of different manufacturers trucks.
