Great video Ryan! It was like Christmas at the Fine Detailing studio with all the new products you tried out! Thanks for taking the time to tackle all of those products in one video. Very ambitious. The Camaro turned out great! Well worth the drive to have you do the coating. If performance is anything like the install and initial results, ADS Glass v2 and Clean 8 year will be hard to beat. Definitely cool to feel the slickness build on the Clean 8 year even just a few minutes after initial leveling. Also, great job by Bradley and DJ on the reformation of ADS Glass v2. I've been very happy with v1 on my car, but the application of v2 is so much improved. Awesome to see all the positive comments on this video and new subscribers. Very well deserved.

Hey Ryan, Loved the video! Just wanted to provide some information on Total Remover that has commonly been misunderstood since its launch. From our testing, water beading was sometimes increased after Total Remover was applied because of its strong cleaning action. This was the case when we tested it on a ceramic coating was heavily clogged with contaminants. But the main thing that you are looking for is that it removes a coatings slickness! Diminishing this will allow whatever you apply overtop to actually bond to the surface. Slickness and water beading are different so we want to make sure that the knowledge is out there about it. Appreciate the quality content and keep up the good work!
@FineDetailingAZ2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the insight and for watching. Typically, my indicator for a removed coating is a lack of water beading and since the product said it should remove old coatings. I made the assumption that it would fully strip it to the point we would see the water pooling vs beading. Helpful tip to focus on the slickness vs the beading though. Also, great to know it's also basically a super cleaner. Gyeon iron redefined is outstanding. I have a few other Gyeon products to try so I'll give that updated guidance in a Gyeon review.

The Pan the Organizer spray polish has been getting some really good reviews from other KZbin detailers as well, that stuff must be pretty awesome stuff and the fact you only have to do two passes to get good results is well worth it. That alone saves time. For a one step polish, that's a winner. The only thing I don't like about the spray polishes is that they tend to spray very small spray splatter around the area you area polishing which can be an issue sometimes. I have tried the Optimum Hyper Polish and Compound combo and they work OK but again, I was getting spray splatter even when I reduced the amount I was using. I'm not saying Pan's does that, i haven't used Pan's yet, but after all these good reviews I am seeing, I want to try that product along with some other stuff Pan released. Hopefully they are great products. Pan said he only wanted to release only great products worthy of the Pan name.
@FineDetailingAZ2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I didn't test on really rough paint but it is pad dependent. I didn't get much splatter when applying it. It does atomize well, unsure if others are more viscous. Check 20:20 in the video if you didn't I show how I apply it to avoid drips and show the spray pattern. Hope that helps!
@joevanseeters28732 ай бұрын
@@FineDetailingAZ To be honest, it could have been my technique. I was just upping my game with polishers at the time and purchased a couple of Flex polishers and was trying them out using the Hyper Polish and Hyper Compound. It worked great, just I had the splatter. I may have had too much product in the pads?? I am still going to try that Pan polish though. Looks like a really good polish for a one-step which is what I do most of the time. Thanks for taking the time to post these videos. I really enjoy watching your channel and I know I can watch an honest review of a product. To many others just review for some sort of kick back, even if it's not money, some other way like free products and sometimes continuing free products and deep discounts, whatever if you know what I mean. As someone that tried EVERYTHING at the box store then worked their way up to CarPro and got stuck once I found that CarPro products work well I kind of stopped trying new products. Now that I realized brand loyalty only keeps you where you are at and that the loyalty is not double sided I am excited to try new products. Really excited for the Pan products (IPA, polish, and 8 year coating on the way) but once my stock piles start to dwindle I will be trying more of his products as well as perhaps some others. The part I like most about his line is if you end up having brand loyalty you know 1000% that he will not only provide a quality product but also help any way he can to make sure you get the best out of it. Hey thanks for watching, this is what every company does. They use lab testing to extrapolate the expected durability of ceramic coatings. The tech changes so often and everyone's conditions are different so they put out a general estimate. This is my understanding but you can always inquire with these companies to see if they will tell you how they do testing.
@79blustone2 ай бұрын
Just sub'd, I like your style of just getting the hard work done. I really like the sniff test- That's very important, along with the user experience. I tend to like Labocosmetica scents, as they tend to be more sophisticated and grown up and kind of car orientated. As much as a water melon, strawberry split sounds nice, I'm not sure it's something I wanna to associate with car cleaning rather than a nice desert at a restaurant. Car product scents should include almonds, Italian leather, vanilla, cologne, Italian lemon, bergamot, vetiver, and sandlewood. Those would be killer scents if blended and mixed in the right way. I'm liking the channel
@FineDetailingAZ2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the support. Spot on with the scents. Koch Chemie active foam is the GOAT. Labo is good but purifica was too strong for me. Primus is solid too. I also will always love GSF. Great video! Thank you! It is so difficult choosing the best products of each brand. The question for me is do I really need to buy a separate coating for wheels and glass when Clean or Avalon or others say their one coating can do the whole car. Is it worth it to buy the wheel in class ceramic coating separately?
@FineDetailingAZ2 ай бұрын
@@davidcloward9518 thanks for watching! I have similar thoughts about wheel coatings. They say they are designed for high heat environments but if you aren’t taking your car to the track how hot do your wheels really get? That said I do think a more stout coating is good for wheels given the environment and we usually clean then with heavier chemicals. You don’t have to use a wheel specific but I do think a higher solids more stout coating is ideal for wheels. Re glass: I do think a specific glass coating is preferred yes. Ceramic coatings are designed for specific substrates like paint. I’d prefer to buy one where the only thing it was designed for was glass. Put another way… no chance the 8 year ceramic coating is lasting 8 years on glass. An affordable high quality one like ADS is a great choice. Hope that helps.

I like that idea with the pressure sprayer and the bike pump keeping it pumped up as you move from tire to tire. That's a slick idea, I might copy that one. Which bike pump is that? I also appreciate you reviewing products that you actually use and enjoy using. I am going to try that Gyeon Iron with the Banana type masking scent. I HATE using Iron Removers because of the awful smell they emit. They work great, but stink BAD. I'd rather use something that can mask the scent, even a little bit. I also want to try that Maniac Line of wheel cleaner. I also prefer products that can do both the rims and tires, not two different products. I have the Griot's BOSS Foam Cannon and I love it. I've used MJJC and many others and I still love the BOSS cannon the best. And I do use my metering tips quite a bit and to me, using the metering tips and hooking my product bottle directly to the cannon via the threaded inner barrel is still the best way to save money and product by far. It automatically dispenses the correct amount right from your product bottle. Foam is thick shaving cream like foam. They also have the touchless system with their Foaming Surface Prep, Foaming Surface Wash, and Foaming Poly Gloss which I also use. Anyone looking for the best foam cannon on the market today, it's the Griot's BOSS! And you can purchase replacement parts including the tips, the guts of the cannon for maintenance, and also additional bottles which are very high quality so the Griot's should give a lifetime of use until a better one comes out in the future.
@joevanseeters28732 ай бұрын
Another great "sleeper" in the foam cannon market is Griot's Brilliant Finish Foam Cannon. It's cheaper than the BOSS, but has a lot of the same features and it really produces some incredible foam like the BOSS cannon. I'm surprised more people don't use the Brilliant Finish Cannon because it's a good one, but about 40% cheaper than the BOSS cannon.

Thank you! Yes I used a "clay" towel with the iron remover. Most cars these days don't need a traditional clay bar. I would only use one if it had heavy contamination like overspray. I should have it in the video.

You can also use a clay towel without polishing because it shouldn't leave micro marring if you have good lubrication.
