I love PSA so much! I don’t have one but that’s just because I haven’t gotten to that project yet (still have to finish my block 2 build with getting a suppressor and vcog sco). What I love about them is they put US civilians first instead of companies like H&K, KAC, and LMT putting contracts first and maybe if there’s some left over some stuff for civilians. If there was ever a second revolutionary war in the US you can bet PSA would be supplying all the good guys

The 13.7” variant with the club foot stock looked pretty nice and I’ve always wanted a piston driven 5.56. Between an AK-556 and JAKL, I am leaning towards JAKL due to modular options. I’d put a SIG Romeo and Juliet combo on and install an ambi safety so I can practice with both hands and have that slight luxury.

That would be bad ass, but I think the 300blk makes more sense with the shorter barrel, little more efficient. Less blast, AR15 mags, etc, still punching 30 cal holes which is the best you can expect from a 308 SBR. probably similar terminal ballistics all in all.

Jakl's are legit. If they put a Phase 5 Bolt Release and a nice trigger it's a wrap. Jakl 13.7 is already the best value buy, but with those minor upgrades, it would have an edge against the S tiers

PSA’s track record is terrible on new releases… Ask us guys who were there years ago for the AK-74 fiasco. PSA’s major problem with new items…. They get everyone excited and everyone orders the first generation, then they start changing or “improving” things and/or stop supporting the guys the bought into the first Gen stuff. Ask me how I know! I am looking at a first generation PSA AK-74 lower that I bought and at the time was waiting on a lower parts kit on back order. We started having major function issues with the Gen 1 units (I had a factory built Gen 1 unit at the time as well). Then PSA decided to “make it better” with a second generation version. The shitty part is the lower parts kit for Gen 1 was stopped being produced and when all us Gen 1 AK-74 lower holders asked to get it upgraded to a Gen 2 so we could build it out…PSA said tough shit, go buy the Gen 2 lower. So I am looking at a PSA AK-74 Gen 1 lower paperweight that has been sitting on my desk for several years now. So yes..they are great in coming out with unique products but they change it so fast you will get left holding the bag in time!
