Thank you very much! All your videos are great and so insightful! Saw all the dog training revolution series and bought both books :) About the Kona series, the right order to watch the episodes is the order in the playlist or is it the numbering of the episodes? Because they don't match 😅

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

My mother in law almost got rid of her puppy because it bit my son a little too hard. She called me all apologetically and was like “don’t worry I’m going to rehome her” and I talked her out of it. I didn’t realize until then how unreasonable people’s expectations can be about a puppy. Im glad you’re helping educate!

Thank you for the potty training tips! you just made me realize that my puppy is only having accidents (shes 16 weeks) in the two rooms we don't spend much time in which the dining room and the upstairs living room so it would make sense that she doesn't see those places as "her home" and if comfortable going potty in there

Watching Inertia's training saved my sanity with my lapphund. She's so active and your philosophy of tiring dogs to behave properly has been a life saver! She's probably the best behaved dog amongst our puppy circle. I'm still struggling with passing other dogs but small victories at the time.

Depending on tiring a dog physically is not a feasable method. Teach your dog calmness instead. Reward calmness any chance you get. Tiring a dog might be helping in some scenarios during training but you will in the long run possibly just worsen your problems because as you tire out your dog the body will adapt and you will have to do more and more to tire your dog out.

I’m a groomer, pin brushes are perfect for puppies because they have sensitive skin. For a puppy like a poodle (or doodle like Kona) a pin brush and greyhound comb will get the job done IF you keep up on your brushing!

My previous dog (RIP :( ) would only pee in our garden, never ever poop unless she was properly ill. Even as a puppy, she was very good and mostly only peed herself out of excitement when we got home from school. The only other times she did go inside, she usually hid behind an object or where it was hard to see. Watching these videos to prepare for a new puppy in the summer. By then it's been over 13 years since I had a puppy, and admittedly my previous dog was the kindest, calmest and most gentle dog so I didn't really have any issues.

Kona is doing great; look at her fetch! :D Inertia looked a little bewildered when she didn't get to put her nose into the pupbox or to have an exclusive try-out of all the goodies as she usually does with her own pupboxes =P. But after all she seemed happy sharing Kona's pink flamingo. And not sure if this is accurate, but I seem to feel that Indy looked more relaxed when meeting Kona than during her first formal introduction to Inertia; maybe playing with Inertia this past year has made Indy open up more, or maybe Kona is just so sweet that Indy immediately liked her :D
@DaveDEF824 жыл бұрын
Her fetch is nothing special. She is a Setter crossed with Poodle for fuck's sake both breeds have this in their DNA. He shows some good tries but when the comment says she is reliable she starts running away and he cuts away. Coincedence. Nope. For examples how to really set your dog up for a good fetch watch some Stonnie Dennis for example.
@doggieadastra4 жыл бұрын
@@DaveDEF82 My dear, thank you for the information. However, I love Kona like a child. Imagine your child inherited great music talent from you and as a toddler managed to make several bars of tunes upon his/her first tries at a violin, would you not feel happy from your heart and warmly praise and encourage him/her? Or would you professionally yet coldly say "nah, that's nothing, look at the many child prodigies out there trained by masters like so and so". Get what I mean? It's not the point to put down Zak as a trainer or Kona as a dog. I love them and enjoy watching them, so as a friend I made a comment like that. I would not try to dispute what you said about Stonnie Dennis, and would enjoy watching any good trainers work with any dogs so long as there is a good understanding and dynamic between the human and the dog. Relationship, love and respect are more important than performing fetch or any other tricks perfectly.

Remember how he ruined her (first year of her) life? Let's hope he got in contact with a vet behaviorist because he was completely out of water when trying to help/train her.

ive read it’s easier for young puppy’s to let them sleep in your bedroom. would it be a good idea to have her bench and food/water in the livingroom and then have a separate dog bed in my bedroom? my room is on the attic so i’d have to lift her up and bring her down 2 stairs to let her out outside
