The lack of freedom nurses experience when it comes to their personal health (coerced into injections) is one that should be looked at before anyone chooses the medical field... highly recommend reading the book Dissolving Illusions!

My youngest is the same age as your oldest, and I understand the choices we still need to make for them and the choices they need to start making for themselves. My three oldest are very close{ 1.5 and 2 years apart}, and the youngest is a little over 4 years after the 3rd. As a widowed single mom, raising her is more of a challenge, in some ways, than it was for the older ones. My husband died over 15 years ago, but we never stopped homeschooling.

I used to be a travel nurse recruiter. If it’s something she really wants to do, she needs to consider picking ER, L&D, OR, ICU as her specialties because she will have a pick of anywhere she wants do go and the money is crazy. However, she needs to have a solid 2-4 years of experience.

I worked in Maui for 3 months as a travel nurse in a stepdown ICU….condo, car and travel paid for on top of hourly pay 🤗 This was a couple decades ago 😊

My son is headed to college this fall has known he wanted to be a nurse since he was 10 it was still medical before that, he also wants to be an ICU nurse ( his why; is because you are with patients in some of the most difficult times and he wants to be the light for them, like a nurse was for him after and emergency appendectomy.

Curly hair faves for your curly haired girl! I started wearing mine curly at 28 years old, so it’s been 7 years now! I use eco slay products… my hair never feels better than when I use eco slay! The ingredients are so good! They have a hair quiz to help choose which products! I use a large square of material to squeeze water out instead of a towel… it’s like a t-shirt material! Causes less frizz! And definitely diffuser using the hover diffuse method! If she has questions to clarify, let me know!

For the person who struggles with anxiety and depression, I do as well. It can make it hard at times BUT it's actually a helpful distraction from feeling that way. I also have a good mix of things my kids do independently and that we do together so I do get some breaks through the day to just not think about anything if I need that. I also take meds for my anxiety and depression, which helps me personally, for some it doesn't but it's worth considering if your mental health is disrupting your normal daily life ❤️

My daughter just went through OB in nursing school! She has said trauma since day one and still holds strong. She is looking at careers only at level one trauma hospitals. We said she would be a nurse since age three. So proud of her. Your daughter will be amazing!

love gummy candy as well. favorite family shows for us: old shows like andy griffith/i love lucy but also new shows like duck dynasty and AFV. My husband always says if you don't want someone to hit on you, just pick your nose. LOL A show my husband and I are liking right now is Man in the High Castle and it is so good. We are 3 seasons in and they introduce 2 gay couples though in this season. Not a kid show but a great parent show to show what it would be like if the Nazis won.

I really appreciate you sharing your wisdom and experience, especially in these teenage years. It’s a new kind of hard, and it’s definitely been one of my most challenging ages. Gone are the days of simple rules and my kids knowing that and following them, and that was that. My teenage girls are now finding their voices and giving valid opinions and thoughts that might differ with what my husband and I have set for rules…causing us to step back and reevaluate and make changes to what we might not have allowed two years ago. It’s hard!

There is a KZbin channel called Early American where they cook historic meals from the colonial era through the 1830s. They also do the occasional skit. They dress per the time period. It’s something that just started off as a way to show my daughter how people cooked in the 1700-1800s now we just enjoy watching their channel and we also get to learn about American history. Oh, I’ve also been watching The Aurora Teagarden murder mysteries with Candace Cameron Bure. My daughter (same age as your youngest) watches with me. They are good, clean murder mystery movies. I loved this set of Q&As, good video. 😊
