Making games for Q1 sure doesnt make sense anymore... As a dev who is about to send a game for AppLab review, it will definitely be the last one with Q1 support from my studio. About 30% of the dev time went into making it optimized for Q1, all delays where caused by this too. And in the end all reviews I got from beta testers who played it on both devices , is that it looks better, sounds better and plays better on the Q2. From my last AppLab game, only 5% of my users have Q1, it is just not worth the effort and working around the Q1 limitation anymore, especially once newer more capable devices hit the market. I would love to keep supporting the Q1, i think it is short lived, BUT if you want to make bigger/better games (which is every developer out there) you have to follow the market and move onto the bigger better hardware, supporting the old stuff becomes just too costly and prohibitive.

What about pcvr to android vr is also the same situation but around. If you want to create a game with best sound and graphics you shouldn't develope for android vr at all! But if you want to go for the money you must go for the mass sells numbers and indeed quest2 is the best choice and since most users are kids who want to play gorilla tag(respect for developer) it is an easer sell for a indi studio indeed.

I would say that one explanation of the metaverse could be that everything that you can do with your phone, tablet or personal computer, you can do in a HMD with all your friends and contacts(If you like?!). Today, on my phone, I booked a flight for my mother, I did some personal banking chores, paid some bills, shopped for Cycling shoes, shopped for a skateboard deck, made skate plans with a buddy, talked to my brother and watched you on KZbin! Imagine if your home environment was like an procedurally generation mall, with all the things I did above in it, generated as and when I needed them and I could meet the people I wanted to in there as I went through my day. Not to mention playing some games! I think that is an entirely possible scenario. All the best, Rich in Sweden.
