Well, VR is boring as hell after all I guess. I've tried everything you showed in this video before I watched the video and yeah, I'm bored to death feeling stupid for spending my money not on one but three VR headsets. There are only two games I still kinda enjoy and those games are warplanes: Batttles over Pacific and The thrill of the fight. And the last time I played any of these two games was a month ago... VR is booooring....

I completed the game, and It was so buggy. Not to say I hate the game, I like the storytelling and the story itself. The gameplay, however is a dumpster fire lol

Still on G2 and Index Controllers. Even now no upgrades seem to be good enough to move past this setup for me. Crystal, Q3 PSVR2 PC, 8kX, Pico4, Beyond, XR-3, Sonmium, .... all too many compromises or shortcomings in 1 way or another such that spending $$$ on an upgrade just doesn't make sense. All kinds of side grades and less comfortable or super expensive options but NOTHING that ALL AROUND Beats the G2 for less than $1000 AND is comfortable. It's been YEARS

I was one of the original backers of Oculus when FB was not even involved. I found myself with v.2 oculus and no way to play games except with a x-box controller. If I wanted to play with vr controllers I had to upgrade to Oculus Quest yes or yes bc controllers for my setup were discontinued and new ones are not compatible. Also I had to open a FB account. Fuck you FB, and especially, fuck you John Carmack. We trusted you and you sold your soul to FB.

I would get this headset, but SteamVR has some massive performance issues that upset me completely. I have a mid-end pc with an rtx 3060 8 gig and a Ryzen 5 5600X and I was having constant stuttering in Pavlov which tells me that Valve had to optimize the heck out of HLA for it to run that smooth in SteamVR. The quest PCVR software has much better performance in my opinion, but SteamVR has much better environments when you launch it lifting your mood actually making you want to play VR.

Hey Eric, we just got our first vr headset, the oculus v2 and the optional extra battery headstrap too, getting into beat sabre on easy mode, miles from your skill level but enjoying it very much. 👍👍

well, yes now meta has made gift cards but they are very hard to find because in my country ( Belgium) there is nowhere that you can buy one unless you buy one from amazon which is very frustrating

I broke my entire headset shell by dropping it 4 feet while leaning backwards onto a carpet floor. Headset rest doesn’t stay snapped in and the front cover barely comes off. Plus the Ziff connector broke. The front panels are popped out, but other than that it’s a perfectly good headset that runs without charging or heating issues. Practically brand new yet damaged. I’m really disappointed to find out you can’t do a trade in either, nor can I get it fixed for a reasonable price.

Amazing review!! and though I’m a little “late” to the release and time frame of it this helped me so much on deciding on purchasing. I loved the first game and when I heard of the second I was shocked and seeing this review helped ease thoughts or concerns on it. Thank you.
