I like it a lot, except there are no "bumpers" as such. Impact protection I'm sure is great; but expect a LOT of trips to a LR bodyshop thanks to other overly friendly vehicles.

Nice review. Still the best looking suv on the road. I’m a little concerned about the location of the start button, but I’d have to drive it for a while to draw a final conclusion. We have a 2020 RR Sport Hybrid with 14k miles and it has a slow, mystery radiator leak…ridiculous…they really need to improve the quality.

2022 Range Rover sport p525 with total of 10k km here, already had air suspension and usb charger issues … since Range Rover does service every 6 month, my car is pretty much in the shop 1/3 of the year .

Range Rover has great design and performance. Unfortunately, it is not reliable, neither is the build quality. I drove mine for 30,000 km now, but it had spent 32 days in the workshop for warranty repairs. Faults range from water pump, hydraulic bush ( many failures), suspension mounting, loose door hinge. Etc. I will buy another only if they can improve on reliability.

Sadly all you need to do is look at car reliability surveys in the past where, I think it was last year Land Rover has 3 or 4 cars in the bottom 10 most unreliably vehicles. Plus really high repair costs as well. Hence the comment in the video about hoping it would be better in this new version. :)

My personal, real world experience (not some bot) of my 2014 3.0 RRS is that in 100k miles from new, is that it’s a superbly reliable and economical, yes economical (avg 42mpg) vehicle. The only thing that has gone wrong with it in 8 1/2 years was the air suspension pump and that didn’t leave me stranded. Try looking at a puddle in a BMW and you need to reserve a new engine - just in case. Maybe it’s all about the quality of the nut that holds the steering wheel? New P440e due 6th October, but I will be sad to see this loyal soldier go (maybe I will just keep them both?).

been a rr tech for 15 years and my god youve got a unicorn, they are the most unreliable cars on the road in every study conducted every year, we have them in constantly having melted their engines or parts simply fall off, i absolutely would never buy a range rover and i work on them everyday, absolute garbage cars

A great car but I have one correction . The boot is not massive as stated by What Car. I have viewed one and physically measured it and I need a big boot so that my wifes wheel chair can be stowed with the luggage and even without the wheel chair it is not a family sized boot. Forget Land Rover figures for size as they are very misleading as they measure capacity to the roof and not to the window line like most other manufacturers and you cant move the rear seats forward. I have an Audi Q7 done 48k completely trouble free miles in it and want a plug in hybrid but the Audi electric only range isnt big enough. I have just ordered A Volvo XC90 recharge which is not as good range as the Sport but is much better than the Audi but crucially has an Audi size boot and far bigger than the Sport. I had the outgoing Discovery before and again a big boot but the lineup now of all Land Rover products are not generous on boot size. Thats why i didnt buy the present Discovery and forget the Defender.

A claimed 70 Miles on a full charge on a P510e Range Rover Sport (or any other Range Rover) sounds like best PHEV SUV for your money.

I have driven a 2017 RR Sport and it was great, but I’ve also driven an XC90 and can’t help but think the cheaper Volvo was just as great albeit much cheaper. Yes there would be a few compromises on a Volvo but I doubt much would actually make a difference for everyday use. Not that I could ever afford to buy either car… 😂😂😂

This is a great car, but this is not how PHEV is supposed to be implemented: with this large battery, Land Rover must use only electric motors for the traction, leaving the gas engine exclusively as a range extender, working under optimum efficiency and durability parameters. There is no logic whatsoever to do PHEV in any other way.

The reliability comment is very biased I've had 4 (proper) range rovers with no issues other than the odd item of repair for wear and tear. I tend to find that view from those that have not owned one and just promote the same old narrative that by my experience is not true.

The electric range is incredibly poor. It's got a 32 kWh battery and can only do 70 miles, that's worse than any other hybrid or electric car since about 1990.

It's actually got the highest range of any hybrid other than the Polestar 1. In the UK that means it gets in to the 5% Benefit in kind bracket. Company car drivers will lap that up

The GLE de Hybrid has the same 32kw set up and is a little lighter and the maximum range I’ve had is 59 miles so we will see!
