I swear by the pre-part & twist method for my relaxers. I've been doing it for over a decade & it saves me a TON of time when relaxing at home! Great results.

Yes I’m sure you will get great results. Bigger knots give you loose waves, smaller ones will give you tighter curls.

wow your wet relaxed hair lays flat! When i would get relaxers Mine would always be puffy for some reason. It was like a afro just without the coils and curls.

@@awwyeahme2 the longest was when I was trying to transition to natural and that was 9 months, it was a disaster and I ended up getting a relaxer. The longest successful stretch has been 24 weeks. I try to stay between 20 and 24 weeks, as long and I have a protective style in. Anything beyond that I experience too much breakage and then it is counterproductive.

The fact that relaxers are still legal is absolutely crazy and the fact that black women still want to perm their hair is even more crazy ! The self hatred is really sad.

It may seem that way but I had a lot of new growth and I used the twists to help me see the demarcation point. If it got past it, it wasn’t much and for a short time. That’s why we wants to smooth it out last and not leave it the hair too long.
