Metal Fatigue was extremely awesome back in the day, i'm sad it never got a sequel or remake/upgrade. I find it a bit slow when playing it in modern times - and I tried to mod it with no luck. Such a great concept though, I hope there's a spiritual successor in the future!

Metal Fatigue is so underrated. You could build underground, in the sky. Had robot with their own crew who could cut off the limbs of enemy robots and reuse those limbs!

btw you should talk about Cepheus Protocol - they have an experimental branch up atm which adds vehicle physics to their game. Its becoming something really interesting; probably the strongest RTS representation of a zombie style scenario I've ever seen. its very early access still however.

I really like that people are trying to make stuff like command and conquer a game that they loved so much they decided to make their own game, but what is the point if the game is literaly identical and even inferior in most aspects ( talking about fractured alliance)

I see why you may have issue with majesty 2, but majesty 1 had really complex and "readable" AI i think. BTW there is another majesty-clone called Lessaria, which is now in open beta at Steam

I will say I am a huge fan of the OG Majesty and found the sequel to be extremely disappointing and lacking. I had such high hopes, the original had a lot of personality and fun to it, while a bit janky, it was a lot of goofy fun. Not having full control was such a weird concept to me a kid of the 90s. And while watching your heroes either run in terror as your kingdom was assaulted or them run foolishly headlong in to fights heedless of their lives made for so many memorable moments. And it would never get old to keep resurrecting a wizard until eventually he hit a high level and turned in to a teleporting nuclear bomb.

Unbelievable how bad Stormgate looks. Like some unholy hybrid of MOBA, RTT and RPG (no RTS to be found). Catastrophically zoomed-in LEGO pieces fight on playmobil maps. Mobile games look better. There must be something in the water supply in California.
