These other compact LiOn units are done as soon as the battery drains or you forget to charge it... with the RYOBI just pop in anther 18v battery and you're good to go... Game over 🔋 I'm buying it as soon as it's available and keeping it in the pickup for sure🛻

I do see your point, I do. But it’s the same for your power tool batteries….you don’t forget to charge those. You can get SEVERAL jumps off of a lithium pack. I paid $50 for mine and I get 35 jumps and it can be used as a portable charger! Not only that, they can be recharged so many different ways….you can use a USB port in your car/truck, if you don’t have one I know it has a 12v adapter that you can put a USB adapter in for a couple of bucks from a gas station. you can use a 110v outlet in your car/truck. use the same USB adapter you charge your phone with in the office or take it to the garage and charge it. If you have the Ryobi 150w inverter, use that. If you have the Ryobi lithium ion power source(has two usb adapters on it, that will charge this. If you have a portable power bank for charging your cell phone, that might work to charge as well depending on the output voltage and wattage. Once charged, lithium ion batteries lose 5% of that charge in the first 24 hours and typically have a self discharge rate of 2% per month…easily lasting more than a year before they are even half discharged. I’m in no way throwing shade at this product or anyone buying it but no one has put forth a compelling argument about how this is better, or even the same, as a portable unit that’s a third the size. The argument you are presenting is one that’s parroted throughout the community but is a non-argument in my opinion. You don’t forget to charge a cell phone, your power tool batteries, your portable game systems, your portable power banks(for charging phones and other USB devices), your wearables and etc. The self imposed “hassle” of keeping a portable unit charged once a year just isn’t a good enough argument for me.
