Hi Tim, Jo, girls, pets, hope you are all well. I see Rosa is dead keen on DIY already, and all for the reward of a biscuit. You'll need to get her some dungarees now, to go with her new mitre saw! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. :)

When glazing doors and casement windows we block the frame / glass to to throw the weight of of the unit / glass back towards the hinges, Its called toeing and heeling, which enables the the frame to open & close correctly.

Been loving this project so far! I was surprised with how much you paid for the big timber beams (1200 quid if I understood right?), is that a typical rate for this kind of timber? I was imagining it would be far more expensive, especially with the current prices. I am very interested in building a timber framed house in the future so your videos have been great to see whats involved and how your average person can do it :) Keep it up!

Only bit im not clear on ... You get your door frame in place and trim the bottom so it fits. When you offer the new door in before youve cut it, how do you know how much to take off? Do you measure floor to just below the top of door frame? Great video as always

I’ve had several over the years but it’s just unreliable, lost two brand new cards to being corrupted, battery life not great, buttons don’t always work, touch screen slow. That said it’s great quality footage and the front screen is helpful, just can’t beat the hero 4 for reliability IMO.
