Hey Ken what's going on man. So I had to sell that 03 road king for financial reasons. I got a real nice number for it. It was 6 months with no bike....bad bad time, lol. So a club rider I know got me a stupid good deal on this 04 road king that has a built 88" on it....supposed to be a 95". That's the one I was asking about. I had to get a bike man so I got the first one I looked at and it ended up being a good clean bike. I don't need all that power man, that motor greg built was very intense!, but so much fun. I was very sad to let that one go man....take care man nice to hear from u

I don't know how true this is but my dad told me years ago that horsepower literally comes from using horses for work years ago so if you think of how strong a horse is the difference of three is quite amazing a horse is a pretty powerful animal I know when I put a full exhaust system and jet kit on my RMZ 250 supposedly it add four horsepower it was very noticeable

The YZ490 was the main competition throughout the '80s and beginning of the '90s. Its was outclassed in most aspects by '88. The WR500 is the same old YZ490 engine in a much-needed newer frame (lifted from the WR250) that was stiffer, had better geometry and modern suspension and brakes. Unfortunately with the old engine, it still had its old faults, and didnt sell very well. Yamaha also made a works YZM500 for the GP races in europe for '87 & '88. It was an aluminum-framed, water cooled and powervalved 500 that could have turned things around for Yamaha, but they decided (foolishly, in my opinion) against it. They made a total of 8 bikes. 2 are known to be in the Yamaha museum, and at least 1 or 2 is still being raced in privateer hands. The others are unaccounted for, probably in private collections.

The kx is faster, has smoother power, handles better and vibrates less. the kx500 has a power valve,although primitive is very effective.the lack of power valve makes cr500 very brutal power wise. No wonder jr chose the kx until you Brainwashed him to a cr. All love tho and God bless Ukraine and America.

The kx actually has a LOT beefier transmission. Both the gears & bearings are much bigger & beefier in the kx. You never hear of transmission problems in a kx500 anymore than one in a cr500. Both are bulletproof. 👍 .....just say'n. The blue in the graphics is absolutely beautiful!!
