Good Morning💛 Yes and no, depends on the machine functions. After doing a little research I don’t think you would have a problem with it. But honestly I don’t quilt; even though I have thought about it. In situations like this you may have to just give it a shot and see if it works.

Hey Ruth, so it can go through 10 layers of denim and 9 layers of medium weight leather. It may can go through more layers of leather; the only issue is that I didn't have any leather needles bigger than 14".

Hey Zae I’m new to your channel and I’m a up and coming wig maker now I found this machine for $130 and my mentor states she preferred me to have a computerized machine so now I’m stuck in limbo which do you prefer between the two because one that is computerized with more stitching patterns and the other is not Computerized with less right? can you give me some insight please? Hey beautiful, I feel like the machine you have is perfect! Customize machines are honestly for heavy sewing and would be a waste of money for you to only be making wigs. The straight stitch needs to be your biggest focus. Because it’s going to allow you to hit those corners perfect. If you are not looking to really do anything heavy sewing which is making drapes, making clothing, sewing leather bags, etc. that’s what most of those machines is for and those extra special stitching is used for because a lot of them are used for finishing and decoration. That’s not really what you will be doing because you are making wigs. I feel that your biggest foucs is to make sure that the hair is transparent more than the stitching.

I agree, I’d never have a computerised machine because there’s more to go wrong and I’m not interested in hundreds of extra stitches for embroidery that I’m not going to use

Rhondda Lesley You are so right!! They make different type of home icing for different uses and there’s no point of you buying a machine with all these different stitches and you’re never gonna use them. Honestly, those extra stitches is what you pay those extra hundred dollars for. Plus no one got time to be wasting no money lol.

Hey Beautiful, sorry for the late response. So when I just went and did my research. This is what I found out about both machine. 1. Brother ST150HDH $299: this machine comes with 50 built-in stitches, 5 auto-size buttonhole and it also allows you to do some embroidery. This one also has 9 sewing feet included and an advanced needle threading system. 2. Brother ST371HD $199: Comes with 37 unique built-in stitches. However, it only comes with one 1-step auto-size buttonhole and 6 sewing feet instead of 9. It also has a easy needle threading, free arm for sewing cuffs and sleeves, and has a quick-set drop-in top bobbin system. So when picking a machine you always want to read what all the machine has to offer to you. Because you want to make sure you're buying a machine that really would work for your projects.
