I sleepwalk and once I climbed down my safety hazard- I MEAN loft bed and just stood in the hallway while my parents were watching TV. They repeatedly asked what I was doing and I said “gotta get the band aids” and rushed to their room where I shoved all the covers off and curled up in the middle. And I remember that dream too! It was where I accidentally crashed a cart at Costco and broke my sister’s arm… hence, gotta get the band aids…

I don't think I've ever had a night terror before, but I've had PTSD dreams where I'd wake myself up talking out loud.. my dr had even put me on meds for them cuz I'd wake up from them not really remembering what they were about but feeling really gross and weird.. these things would literally be waking me up every hour, sometimes on the hour!! I was under the impression that it took 90 minutes on average to get into REM sleep.. but I guess I'm just a weird anomaly 🤷‍♀️ I'm off the meds now, and haven't talked in my sleep since, but I do still have weird ones once in awhile.. I'm just glad I don't remember them.. I can't imagine having night terrors tho omg.. I feel so bad for you... have you tried talking to ur dr?

You were probably having a longer cycle and were probably waking up right at the end of the cycle. Which kinda sucks for you, because your body doesn't get a chance to reset properly for the next REM cycle. I hope things are going better for you

I mean that was just an example.. but still I don't understand how I was able to dream like that in less than an hour when it takes everyone else an hour n a half to dream 🤷‍♀️ it's not like that anymore thank goodness but still.. my therapist, my doctor, no one had any idea why this was happening to me..

I dont sleep walk but have very vivid dreams and do a lot of "thinking" in my sleep due to my anxiety. My dreams can be so bad I wake up in full on crying and very emotional and overwhelmed feeling. I am not rested after nights like that. I take meds before bed to help shut my brain off at night. Started it about a year ago. Best sleep I have gotten in a long time. If I forget to take meds at night, it usually will be like it was before. And a horrible day will result.
