You are lucky Andy !! We wait the full review.I see new locking system,i do not had any problem with my HLA 85 at locking system,and i saw the new third safety switch,the shaft is not round,all the other i thing it is like HLA 85

Always great to see new kit, would really appreciate your views on comparison to say the hsa94 r/t. Why would one need the hsa given hla 86 reaches places that hsa cannot?

Although you can reach a lot further with the HLA 86, the length of the unit could make it awkward for some smaller hedges, In tighter places. which is where something like the hsa94r would come into its own.

Love my hla85 but if operating it with the battery backpack it can be a bit restrictive with the wire if you know what I mean. It’s more suited to the small batteries.

There are some fantastic tripod ladders on the market, that make working at heights much safer. but you simply can not beat two feet firmly planted on the ground. These telescopic trimmers are kit worth having 👍

It does have a new twist lock system. I have never had any issues with the latch that is on the HLA 85 - I think the issues a lot of people had, were due to over tightening the screw before folding the latch over. But it is great that Stihl listened to customer feedback and changed it.

I've had the husky 536 lihe3 for 2 years , within first year had to go back to dealer twice for repairs to wiring , last year kept overheating and now needs newotor and wiring not worth fixing , very poor considering total outlay was 700 Inc accessory's , not sure if to consider shelling out yet again for this new Stihl hla 66 it would need to last alot longer than 2 years as I'm a one man band doing garden maintenance needs to be reasonably reliable , I do use Stihl kombi 131 r for heavy use but it takes its toll on my body really not sure what to do

Hi, Perhaps the new Stihl KMA 135r battery power unit could be a good option for you? As you already have the Kombi attachments.

I looked into it but the weight with ap 200 plus attacent comes in around 6.9 kg which is actually heavier than Stihl kombi 94 RC Inc the fuel so think I might stick to petrol for now not convinced on battery tools after bad experience of the husky

Understand that. Most professional gardeners have two T machinery with this operation but now the battery equipment seems very lacking as it appears to be more targeted for the armature or occasional gardener. Why is the battery powered tools so retarded in the professional field? Forgive the rant

@@declandowling4614 I am afraid I have to totally disagree with you. A large number of Professionals use battery battery kit - It is by no means designed for occasional users. That statement is a bit like saying that battery drills are only used by amateur diy’ers.

You missed my point. Most professional gardeners are accustomed to using cruise control ( it does involve a element of risk) whereas in the past fueled equipment for professionals it came as standard but with battery equipment it doesn’t.

The older Version had a hand protection for the Back of my Hand. Engine did not get much stronger or anything. For me as a profesional it is definitly a big Downgrade.
