I dig when Nintendo puts a surprising amount of effort into an oddball release like this. I really should replay all the New Super Mario Bros. games to form a better opinion on them. I remember having gallons of fun with this DLC.

favorite game in the series is Luigi U. Despite reusing all of the same assets from Mario U, it’s so much more creative and fun. It’s the only game in the series where they’re being a timer actually makes sense since all of the levels were purposely designed to be short. My only complaint is that they didn’t change the bosses at all. I get they had to reuse assets, but they at the very least could’ve remixed the bosses in some way. Also whenever you get to a boss the game gets you 100 extra seconds to kill them which is completely unnecessary since the bosses are so easy. The games entire thing is that it’s supposed to be harder so it giving you more time is a really questionable decision. Also if you’re playing with four players, it forces somebody to be an easy mode character (it forces two people to be easy mode characters in the switch port)

Mario U/ Luigi U is one of the few switch ports that is objectively better on the Wii U. The switch version removes the boost mode (not that anyone cared about that, but it’s still removes content) and if you’re playing with the full four players, it forces a player to be a easy mode character which is a problem the original didn’t have. Even worse is Luigi U where it forces two players to be easy mode characters. Also I thought there was a bit of a missed opportunity with the story of Mario U. Instead of starting at peaches Castle, you have to make your way to it so it would’ve been really cool if you started at the lava world and you ended at the grassland, but it’s exactly the same so you having a different starting point means absolutely nothing

To be honset I didn't view the game highly. I feel is just a harder version NSMBU. A game I don't like and I feel the Same with Luigi U. Like Scafschaffrillas Productions say about GBA Rainbow. " Who is going to be impress of your mastery of just a hard verison of NSMBU". Still was Interesting watching you play the game for the first time.
