I hope Masahiro or Sega put Shadow The Hedgehog since Sonic X Shadow: Generation. Shadow does have wing like crazy, he would fit as a unique fighter as base roster or DLC roster

The only problem is if we get a new one people would rather play Ultimate because it has all the characters from past games plus more if they make a new one it won’t have everyone unless they get all the rights for the characters. I could be wrong though

I get your idea.. but I think the make good choices in which character they should keep and which one can be replaced. Losing snake or bayonetta is not that important. Other figgting games do this a lot too. Sure.. it sucks for people that main the character. But this is a party figgter with over 50 characters. So almost everyone has 3 mains at least. So good chance that there will be one left for you. And the characters that will be scrapped are not the most liked ones overall. Because people with nintendos get a lot of mario, kirby, pokemon...thrown in their face. So big chance that they have one of those series as main. Pichu was just a fun entree for melee, Snake was just a fun entree for brawl. Bayonetta was just a fun entree for smash4 Ultimate just brought them back once. Which was nice. But now its time for other characters to shine.

Sakurai never really even fully quit to begin with, when Ultimate was at the tail end of completion he openly admitted that Smash Bros. is too important to Nintendo, and that he cant envision Smash without himself being at least somewhat involved. the main thing he stated is that he doesn't want to HELM the projects anymore, he seems to mostly want to advise and aid in the process now.

It would be another Smash Bros Game for Switch 2 but here me out the Rooster isn't going to be as that Large as some characters would be cut, i think that the rooster should add more Pokemon characters, more Capcom characters,More Earthbound characters. I'll give it a 2027 release date.

he didnt say he'd stop, he said he coouldnt imagine another smash game without him, and besides, smash bros is one of nintendo's most important ips when it actually becomes a thing, and no one else can do it as good as sakurai can, and he did say that he's making a new game, and most of the time smash bros games have been known for being worked on before the next console, so it would make sense that another smash bros game would appear sooner or later, its just too big of an game to just give up on
