Black on red. I don’t think there’s a better combo. But you are right about cleaning them every day. I’ve definitely learned that I’ve personally gone for MTS coilovers and polly bushes all round. The ride is firm but not crashy I’ve driven some miles and it’s definitely fast road rather than track.

@themyronc2 жыл бұрын
Did you have to put drop links when you lowered the height?
@TheParrottBros2 жыл бұрын
No as the mounting point on the shock was the same distance from the hub as the original shock, it’s usually only on coilovers where the mounting tab is lower due to the threads for adjustment

Yes adjustable arms will fit all models, they just need to be set up correctly is all. If you fit them in place of the upper control arms you will be able to push the wheels out at the top

Hi you have been so helpful with your videos I'm new to the TT world. Once I get this Mark 1 sorted a bit more, of course with the help of your videos, I'm going to fabricate a hard top in aluminium to make the roaster look like coupe, do you think they could be a market for a good-looking hard top. Thank you again for your so how to fix things on these great little cars
@TheParrottBros2 жыл бұрын
Thanks joe, welcome aboard! That would be pretty cool. There is already a hard top available, they are quite sort after and not cheap now so you may well be in the right market for something a little different. As the roadster hardtop still isn’t quite the shape for the coupe

Get a 350Z
@mk1chopper2 жыл бұрын
You might get 32mpg average, if the ac works then I'd say using it as a daily isn't out of the question, ours is used for the commute several times a week buts that's only a 34 mile round trip. Big issue at the mo is £2 a litre for super unleaded.
@bobjarvis17872 жыл бұрын
For the last 3 years I’ve done 120 miles a week in mine, average 30mpg , but most of my journey is in a 50 average speed zone. Older TTs take some money to sort out, suspension, brakes, silicon coolant hoses, cam belt, oil pick up pipe, but once done are reliable. Personally I am thinking of getting a VW Caddy for the commute and keep my TT for weekends and holidays. My TT just makes me smile😎

At 1st glance the rear sway bar on the 8n chassis is a joke, just putting a real one in would do wonders for the ability to rotate, especially in smaller corners.

So they dont list the shocks for the 3.2, they only list the shocks for the 1.8t but i have used them on mine, the springs are suitable for both 1.8t / 3.2 vr6's, they are the same fitment and weight is the same all bar a few kg's
