New Suspension for the AWD C30 (Again...)

So glad to see the return of Volvo content. I want to lower my v50 so bad and I’ve definitely heard that chirping noise recently so I can’t wait for the next video. I assume that’s the A/C clutch?

I believe it's a tensioner pulley, but I'll need to diagnose further and try to isolate the noise.

Michael, that sound at the end of the video sounds very similar to what happened to mine. It was the alternator pulley. had to pull the alternator to replace it with a tool rented from my local parts store.

I was thinking a tensioner, but that's a good suggestion! I'll check it out.

And here’s me, engine out of the C30, with a pair of B16’s on… and worrying if I should’ve stuck with new B4’s. Well… gonna find out when I rebuild the motor.

No missing covers, it just looks exposed because I don't have wheel well liners. I believe it's a tensioner pulley starting to fail.

Totally unrelated to what the video is about, but, is that a custom vacuum line going into the manifold? I have the same one from elevate plus their turbo intake pipe and I feel like the stock vacuum line is too tight in there. Your line looks like it has extra room to spare, where’d you get it? Really appreciate it!

Stock connectors with a longer hose to reach the vacuum port on my intake pipe.

How much weight did it gain from going fwd to awd

About 200lbs, but most of that is in the rear which helps balance out these front heavy cars.

@@ervinfaleproductions5301 It's roughly the same path, but the down pipe is different to clear the transfer case and the rear has a slightly different bend to get around all the additional components in the rear.
