Hey man so I got mine awhile back and I can’t figure out how to change it from km to mi on the dash any tips? or is mine just broken.. I tried pushing the buttons in different sequences but no go and also have had some problems with shifting I only have 93 miles on mine. anything like that happen to you yet? sincerely your new subscriber

There was a run of then that got messed up before shipping out. If you tried everything even holding down buttons etc to no avail chances are yours is one of them. Tao was offering replacements to those who have this issue. You can try contacting tao motors and see if they can send you out a new one.

Click and hold the left button (only) until the display blinks. Then use the right button to change it

Shifter lever replaced right from the start. It's a must. They suck. Delete the vapor lock, it causes the bikes to stall.

Its nice that you bike came with a 6 pin CDI. My Vader has a 4 pin and theirs not much in the way of aftermarket up grades available. Keep on tricking it out and check out some of the cool mods I have done to mine.

Yes I'm glad it came w the 6 pin for sure. The 190 comes w the 4 pin. I've swapped everything over to 190. My clutch cable etc. Is coming in supposedly today. If everything arrives it should be alive. You've done some cool stuff to yours for sure. I'm keeping my 125 just in case lol. I've done the shift star mod along w a few other things to 190. Brap Genius jetting depends on a lot really. Mods, altitude, temp, it’s really trial and error. I’m over 700’ and I was able to use the jets it came with. I just tuned it according to what it needed. I had to raise my needle up 1 groove to lean it out in the mid range. Runs perfectly and fires right up. Yes it’s fast as well lol.

Yes from 0-1/4 throttle is pilot jet. From 1/4-3/4 throttle is needle adjustment. Wide open is main jet. It’s easy if you mark throttle at 0 1/4 1/2 3/4 and full open. Put tape on both sides so you can mark the tape. Adjust main first then pilot then mid range. Raising needle by lowering the clip makes it leaner.

Yup I have one I got in 2018 when I weighed 230 and I even swapped the sprocket. I weigh 215 now and I'm able to top out at 61mph. I ride it to work almost every day.

What are the wires on the clutch handle? The bike won't start and those wires keep falling out. It has 8 miles on it! I changed lights but that's it so far

those go to the clutch switch. those may be the problem but im not sure as i no longer own the bike unfortunately. it also allows it to know when the clutch is pulled in. sorry i coudlnt help you out more on this one though. are you getting gas and spark?

@@AnGryCruizer my older motor is fine bro. My zs190 is the one w issues. The 125 is a great motor. No issues w older or newer 125's. Kp minis are good bikes too. The one w gold forks did you order a vader? With the older hellcat u gotta upgrade motor mount bolts.

Parker, Once I remove the air box there is 1 vacuum hose it’s on the top right side of the engine behind a mount if looking at the bike from the front… Do I just close that off or leave the hose attached and leave open?

i dont recall what i swapped the jets out to honestly. ill take a guess and say 17 pilot and 180-190 main maybe. its been a long time so i do not remember at all. i def had to rejet it as it was rough starting and the min i gave it any gas it bogged and went no where lol. it was pretty terrible actually tbh haha but an easy fix of course. i think it came w a 15 pilot and maybe a 120-140 main. again been a while so tough to remember. what i used may not be anywhere near what you need though so keep that in mind. it depends on elevation temps etc. there are alot of factors in jetting a carb. when i was dont though it ran great. i really miss the bike though as its where it all started for me. gl and i hope you get yours all figured out.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and also that it helped you out. The chain upgrade is an absolute must. The stock chain is complete garbage. Stock chain you literally have to adjust after every ride. The niche x ring chain only 1 adjustment needed after initial stretch. It was my first motorcycle as well and I don't regret a thing. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat as well. It helped me learn that I simply love riding. I've tried quite a few bikes since this one now. My 2 favorites were my fat bob and my supermoto. I'm currently looking for a new bike just unsure what to get. Ride safe and enjoy

Rattle sound may be a loose or broken rear engine mount bolt. Common problem with 2016 to 2019 models.

Money Mondo there isn’t one. If you’re trying to go faster upgrade the carb. Get a racing cdi and a 17tooth front sprocket. If you wanna go faster than that 190 swap it.

Does any one know what the big red button is for on the right side of the handle bar. I got one of these bikes but all the marking are worn off. At least I think it a tao anyways. Any help would be great.

That is the kill switch, if you try to start it and it won't do anything click opposite direction. Down on that switch is run. I usually use the key to turn off though. The controls on these are basically the same as any metric bike grom included. If you bought it new you should get a new chain. I got the niche gold xring chain from Amazon. Great chain for the money and doesn't need adjusted every ride. The stock chains are absolute garbage.

@@jorgenaranjo7799 yes you can, it def pulls harder on the low end. I was 10mph faster doing the same exact route. It doesn't increase top speed it increases acceleration basically.
