I think it is important to remember they are tools to your intuition. Your intuition combined with the cards gives the interpretation of the cards.

The shuffling itself should cleanse the energy if you don’t have other things and still sleep with them under your pillow to get a better connection

Just knock on the deck. It doesn't matter, the spiritual tools, it's your intention to cleanse the deck, that cleanse the deck. Putting your energy into it, clears away any other energy.

You don’t need to do her thing that’s her thing. I would suggest, looking through the cards, maybe record your first impressions of each card (like a couple of words, a sentence, a question… don’t overthink it.) After you go through the cards once, talk to the cards. Tell them your intentions, invite them to partner with you, pray for them to provide you with insight… whatever maybe feels right. Then maybe knock on them, blow on them, hold them to your heart or your forehead… maybe speak a consecration or dedication. The shuffle them, play with them, divide them into piles of cards you like cards that give you bad feelings, cards that make you laugh… whatever.. just look through them to connect a bit… shuffle them some more and more and more… get used to how they feel in your hand…. Practice laying out a spread.. think how you want to do it, do you want to lay them face up or face down? Will you turn them slowly and dramatically? Try different things and see what feels right. Sit with them in your lap, eyes closed. Breath slowly. Just think about your plans or your desire to connect, learn or whatever. Ask something like “tell me something about yourself” to the deck and turn a card. Then ask “tell me about our relationship” and turn a card. Write it down and keep it. Just think about how the card makes you feel. Especially how you felt immediately before you had time to think about it. Write a little story about the cards you drew.. a paragraph or two, nothing major, just describe what you see or what you think is happening. All these little things will help you bond and connect with your cards. You can personalize the cards or not… you can talk to them, you can thank them, etc. or you can just think of them as picture on cardboard. It’s really up to you. (You can do any of these, none of these, or something that you come up with yourself) (Sorry i got carried away)

cleansing is to clean off the stagnant energy; charging is well... charging the tool (like how you'd charge your phone); getting used to the deck, doing one card reading, sleeping with it, etc are to bond with the new deck i think

Guys I used to always watch pick a card readings. When it comes to astrology, sometimes I could guess someone’s zodiac sign, because I was kinda just receiving this knowledge spiritually. I loved the fact that there’s always a spirit behind the tarot card! I was very spiritual, but at the same time I was depressed and almost committed suicide. I started to see comments about those ‘spirits’ actually lying to us and not being who they say that they are, for example they say it’s our dead relative, or ancestor, but it’s actually a demon. I also saw people saying that they cause mental illnesses. I didn’t straight away believe it. After some time I watched someone’s video about Jesus being the only way and I realised that tarot might not be good and I threw away my tarot cards. That same night I was tormented in my sleep by demons. I was tormented for one week. These spirits aren’t good, they’re demons. I realised that’s the reason why I almost committed suicide, because there was an open door in my life for demons. Regardless if you’re doing tarot yourself, or just watching pick a card readings. They know about your past and present, because the devil is real and he’s a spirit who disguises himself as an angel of light. I stopped all witchcraft and accepted Jesus as my Lord and saviour. He’s not the only way to access the spiritual realm and we know it. However, He’s the only way to the Father and He’s the only SAFE way. Tarot cards definitely don’t access God, ever. Just demons and devils. According to the Bible, dead people aren’t communicating with us. Demons just disguise themselves as dead people. You might not believe what the Bible says, but in that case we’d be saying that Jesus is a liar, because we either don’t believe the Bible and say that it includes some lies, or we agree that it’s the only God’s word and the only spiritual truth and that everything what the Bible says is true. I found out that it’s the case without even reading the Bible first! I don’t have a religious background at all. I really don't know what to think about religion at this point because I believe in spirits and I also believe in a higher power so I am torn between 2 different beliefs. I want to believe that God and Jesus is real but I just have such a hard time believing in it cause it doesn't really make sense that we are all human beings and that we have a purpose but I just don't really believe that anything has a purpose in the end. I have trust issues and i have tried to believe but I just don't have any experiences that were spiritual with God himself and I might have felt the holy spirit once but I then thought that it could have been the affect on your brain when you trick yourself into believing something that you think is real. Anyways I don't know what to think anymore and I am a very realistic person so religion is not easy for me to believe even if you preach it to me thousands of times I will still have troubles believing it. I just wish that I could believe and have faith but I just don't think that my faith would be enough to even be considered as a christian. Sorry I typed so much I just don't kno what to think anymore and I need help spiritually in some way.
