I have Tata Tiago EV. In which indication of EVS error was coming from last 1 month. After showing it to the service center, they have not been able to correct this error since 1 month and they say that parts will come. I am very fond of this car. I am troubled by. Please give me any advice.

I booked the Punch EV. It worked out like this my daily drive is 60km+ and my monthly petrol cost is 14000+ and that is after I hold back on some long drives. So I figured if I can buy an EV where the EMI is say 20% more than my current petrol expenses I will be getting my car practically free and have a lot more fun in the process. SBI now gives lower interest loans for EVs with upto an 8 year schedule with a no penalty prepayment option after two years. So it is Punch + SBI Car loan for. But initially I had planned on the Comet from MG, Test drove it and realized the footwell was too small for my style of sitting with legs stretched out. Then I test drove the MG ZS EV which was too big for the city and had a very disconnected steering paired with a very powerful engine, but what really decided me against it was the size of the vehicle. I wanted a hybrid - city + highway EV. In that context Punch is the only one its class. I test drove it, it is a an amazing car to drive - a driver's car. Cars I owned Previously : Honda Civic, Rav4, Astar, Koleos, Jetta, Punch AMT, Astar (all automatic) and now when it arrives the Punch EV. I have had the Punch Petrol AMT in the past and did not much like it so much so that I changed it for my fav city ride till date the ASTAR Automatic. So the Punch EV is going to replace the ASTAR now.

Base model of XUV 400 is priced at 15.49 ex-sh but Punch top model is priced at this price. Base model of XUV 400 does not have many features such as - 6 air bags Ventelated seats better Infotainment + cluster. wireless charger Cruise control 4 Speakers Apple Carplay, Android Auto R16 Alloy wheels LED Drls 360* camera multiple drive modes OTA updates Blind spot monitor/hill assist Actual range aprox - 300+ KM To get these features (not all) and range, XUV 400 will be priced around 17.49 ex showroom. Suggesting someone to pay around 2 Lakhs extra on ex-showroom price just to get extra - 10-15 LT, boot space, 8cm width, 14cm legs space, extra torque & power. why would you suggest XUV 400 and pay extra around 2 lakh for some extra spaces (which eventually is not great for long trips anyway) and still does not have many required features in this date (360*/Ventilated seats being couple of them). I think comparing Punch ev- sub 4mt range vehicle to 4mt vehicle will obviously be shorter in dimensions but features are also not matched for other EV at higher price point. On Paper - XUV 400 total length is 34.3cm greater than punch ev (4200mm vs 3857mm). But yet wheelbase is 15cm greater. This talks about efficiency w.r.t space in center area. Even for Nexon EV , one has to pay extra 2-3 lakh to get these features - again, sub4mt car will be shorter in dimension when comared with 4mt. The point of Punch (EV) is budget with many feature, super comfort 4 people car and under 4mt not to be a 4mt dimension car option. For a family of 4 or even 5 (including kids) this is a game changer at this price point. Off course, 5 adults are not gonna fit properly in any sub 4mt car, let alone punch :)

Sharing my experience: Sir, I have bought Punch EV LR variant 3 months back. Day by day, the range (with AC on) increased from 250 to 300km (with energy efficiency 110-120). We live in north India and during extreme hot weather (40 degree+), the range decreased to 200-210, and energy efficiency increased to 160 (shocking). The climate system is consuming more battery (what I have observed!). Means, range has now decreased from 300 km to 200-220 km, i.e. more than 80-90 kms, which is a big figure! On the other hand, my driving behavior has improved from 7 to 8 (so range should increase, right ?). My daily kilometer calculations are being disturbed and now I am charging my car 3 more days in a month (consuming more electricity). This reduced range issue is also with one of my known, who is also using same PUNCH EV car. One thing more, this issue is not with my friend's Nexon EV, as it's range is reduced by 30-40 km only (during peak summers). Sir, I have approached Tata, but their response is not satisfactory. I have also shared my driving behavior figures, range display screenshots with them. What to do, please help!! (Still lot to say....)

by default, you will get a 3.3kw charger, if you want to upgrade to 7.2kw you need to pay additional, keep in mind that this car goes up to 6.6kw only. By packaging the 7.2kw charger separately, your insurance won't jump high and you don't need to pay additional road tax for that also.

7.2 kw charger is useless if one has single phase connection, so I guess it is good that they are giving it optional, however they give 3.3 kw charger for free, which works everywhere, provided the earthing is proper.

If u compare any electric car (even at this not so mature ev market), they still have a better 0-100 than their petrol counterparts (for the same price) It will only get better. Performance will never be the issue with EV cars. Riding dynamics will improve too in the next 5 years. EV is to stay whether we like it or not.

Hi sir I bought punch smart plus It's giving range of only 180-190 max And broke down 5th day after purchase They somehow repairrd and brought back without cheching Delivery boys ran out as soon as they dropped my car After inspection found that car is not locking.... And tata customer care is the best in class... They are sooooo casual and dont care about my lost money.... Any I lost a good money.... And of course this will be my last tata car....

I travel to Indore from Bhopal thrice in a month which is 200km one side! Rest of the time I drive in city! Saal mein ek baar I travel with family to a max of 600 kms for a vacation by road! I feel it will still make sense to me! But will it make sense if I sell by 7 year old diesel car to buy this? Seeing diesel has no future ahead & jitna late karunga resale bhi nahi milega! Hi @MotorOctane Please read this feedback from my side on the Punch EV vehicle that I purchased. I have no expectations from Tata after all these quality issues. Just shared my experience. I want to appreciate but Tata made me shattered. 🙂 left rear door is making a noise when opening and closing at the time of vehicle delivery. The boot is not getting locked without applying much pressure at the time of vehicle delivery.. The finishing of the interior is not good when compared with other vehicles in the same category. The exterior is good. Features are worth to money. ---------------------------------------------- after 1st service : Boot lock issues were resolved. AC humming noise issues were not resolved. Instead, they informed me that it was not an issue but a feature of the car that cools down the main battery. Android auto call notification and map switch issues were not resolved. New issues + old issues: Android auto call notification and map switch issues were not resolved. AC Fan flaps were not working. It was not circulating air in the legs, or windshield. It was throwing air only at the front. Software updates are available for the vehicle. 360 camera was not working as right ORVM camera is showing faulty. The airbag warning was coming without any accidents or damage. It was resolved after switching off and on the vehicle twice. ---------------------------------------------- After 2nd service: AC fan air circulation flap issues were not resolved. Software updates were not installed. 360 camera was not working as right ORVM camera was showing faulty. After service all four cameras are showing faulty on the infotainment system. After a complaint, they gave another service slot for next week, and issues related to AC fan air circulation were resolved. Software updates were not installed and they mentioned these were installed. All four cameras are showing faulty on the infotainment system. New issues + old issues after 3 days of 2nd touchup of 2nd service: The brake system status was showing faulty on the MID and ZConnect app. Software updates were not installed. One of the front tires burst on the Nashik-Pune highway within 3.5 months of the vehicle purchase (Worst experience with tire quality). Roadside assistance was not provided. It was a dark roadside and raining and scary location. logged a case at 08:15 PM and Tata assisted the next morning. (Very bad experience). The whole night no one came. Today around 11 AM we reached at service centre. Then left for home. It's been a whole day with no updates from the service center. Called multiple times but they mentioned they would call me once the inspection was complete.
