Nicest looking wagon I have seen so far from the 60’s. Love that front end!

Greeny! Man, thumbs up, u did good & that's the way u bargain. These gems are rare. Many many '65s rusted away, sadly. The 389 if can be overhauled, is a stout one! The front ends on the 65s only, are so intricate. Look at the wrap around bumpers, very Fifties looking. I luv the rear end taillights say "I'm stoned", LoL Excellent score dude

Oh, forgot to say, my dad bought the Edsel looking '68 Catalina. Same color but by then there was a much more plasticy look in the interior. Yours has cool chrome dials and vents! Steering wheels are still hefty in these years.

I think it was an ok deal. It runs and drives well. Im going to put a 4 barrel on it. Possibly a 4 speed and a 400 later on. Way cool cars

I was about 8 years old when my dad bought his first brand new car. A 1960 Pontiac Catalina Safari wagon. Traded it in 1965 for a 65 Catalina Safari. I remember my dad gave me a ride to school that day when the 65 was brand new. When dad dropped me off my friend Jeff went " hot dog, a brand new 65!"

In Canada a base full size Pontiac wagon was called a Laurentian, which was just a rebadged Chevy and not a wide tracking Catalina.

I just got it legal last week. Ordered some red line diamond back tires for it last monday. Ive got a 4 barrel intake and a correct 1965 Pontiac Carter AFB for it to throw on it. Working on getting all the parts for a 4 speed swap I did find the correct dog dish caps for it as well. New videos coming soon

What a great find! My Dad had a 1966 Catalina Station Wagon. When I was much smaller and younger I was able to stand up in back and not bump my head on headliner. What’s next for your Wagon?
