One thing to keep in mind: whenever you flash the ECU your throttle response will be less sensitive for several days while the ECU learns. Afterwards it will become sensitive again. I was underwhelmed after going stage 2 during my first ride. Once you have put some distance on it, it will feel different and open up much more. This is my experience with the Cobb OTS tunes at least.

Everyone teasing him about the "Don't do that" statement. He's actually right. Not only is it bad to rev the engine on a cold start, you shouldn't touch the throttle until the engine warms up and goes through a cooling fan on/off cycle, and then an engine restart. The reason being is the ECU has to learn the parameters. That's why you get the sluggish pedal when you take off right after a flash.

Backfire is normal on these cars with aftermarket exhaust. Doesn't mean it running rich. My 18 backfires regularly with stock exhaust and muffler deletes. MAP OTS tunes are very solid, ask around and you will hear the same.

Ots tunes are shit. Why would you spend the money and not get a proper tune? Oh yeah, because it costs a 1/4 of what the stage two kit costs. If you have an accessport just log some data and shoot it to torqued performance. My car runs like a raped ape with a stage two tune from torqued performance

I ran with and without. My AP was showing about 3psi below target on boost with the pill in. Its very close to target with the pill removed.

Seems quick. Be careful with off the shelf tunes. Its easy to run out of injector capacity and get too lean. Pro-tunes are worth the money.

On one website it says the MAP Stage 2 map requires the MAP intake, and you can use ANY catted OR catless aftermarket J-Pipe.. I am only stage 1 and my car runs 266 whp and 300 torque to the wheel. It depends on how much boost you run and how good your tuner is.

Zakir Muradov doesn’t matter what “stage” you think you’re at, a stock wrx turbo and top mount is not making anywhere near 300 wheel. Also, off the shelf tunes only account for the mods you’ve done, they don’t try and push power like a pro tune would. My “stage 2” was a vf48 turbo which is best stock sti turbo, sti top mount, full 3” exhaust and external waste gage and only put down 270 wheel on a dyno. Just saying you can pretty much tell how much power is being put down from the mod list
