@Fearless1542 жыл бұрын
@@adrianio1000 It's not conventional at all. The R7's 270-degree firing orders give it the sound of a sporty v2 engine, and a lot of people love this sound, especially on older panigales, monsters, and superdukes. And the crossplane crank of r1 makes it sound like a V4 engine. Overall, there is no "best" sound. Some people prefer v2 with some triples and some inline 4s and some v4. I personally am a freak for the V4's sound, but my friend says they sound like tractors, and he prefers the screaming of the Inline 4.

It's always interesting to me how riders that ride on straight roads consider everything other than an R1 a starter bike, and riders that ride on twisty roads consider an R3 a starter bike and everything else inter to advanced. Just something I've noticed from watching vlogs, you get very different perspectives depending on where the riders actually use their bikes.
@jtr5492 жыл бұрын
In my opinion if you ride a sport bike how it's supposed to be ridden on roads that go other directions than forwards then an R7 for a beginner is a lot, a starter bike should be something light enough to wrestle to where you want it and low enough in torque to where you can't easily pass cars before you learn what to look for, as the amount of times I've almost flattened myself against the boot of a car is higher than I'd like to admit. If you have an R7 and you're starting you will likely overtake someone right before a steep corner and not be setup for it, you just likely will. Probably you will make it past the lean more test, or you will see the car turning right ahead of the car you're about to overtake just in time, but if you start on a R3 you can't even overtake unless it's a good stretch of road so you will learn all of that without risking your life. More torque = higher confidence, higher confidence without experience is a dangerous recipe. And if you ride on roads with bends in it, that gets even more dangerous.

The bike you pick should be matched not just to your abilities, but also to your region. I have been riding since 1976 and owned many sport bikes, among them recently a couple of R1s, MT10s, and a 1290 SDR. I have also had a couple of R6s, and I currently own a 2022 MT10. I recently bought a R7 and love it. The reason why though is because in my region, the roads are tight, bumpy, slippery, and there is poor visibility due to vegetation closed to the road edge... which is full of game animals. There is NO WAY you can employ a Superbike, or even a Super Sport, anywhere near its capabilities. The R7 is not only significantly more comfortable due to its suspension compliance, seat, and ergonomics, but the low end biased engine and shorter gearing are a great match to my region's riding conditions. If I still lived in San Diego County with open, smooth, dry, and clean roads and tremendous visibility, with no deer, porcupine, etc waiting to jump out, no question, I would have an R1 again. But it was miserable here, while the R7 is actually quite fun.... and reasonably comfortable.

You might find standard gearing is the best compromise. If the engine struggles to make power above 9k, you might have to gear the bike up, not down for a few more mph....but then you lose some acceleration - a real balancing act with lower powered bikes 🤔

So....someone has supercharged a FZ07. Aisin maked a small AMR300 and AMR500 supercharger. There is a cap on the stator cover that you could easily make a threaded piece with an oil seal and a bearing in. Run a belt off that to a jack shaft and then run another belt to the supercharger. Ran a air/air intercooler around the front and wrapped the exhaust to keep the heat away. He got to around 120hp on a bike that weighs less than 400lbs. There is power to be had on the CP2 bikes

I don't think the R7 is really geared to the new rider in today's market. But I also don't think it's a good intermediate for the rider with intentions of swinging a leg over an i4 liter bike one day either. Too much time riding without learning the nuances of riding a top heavy i4. I started riding 20 years ago. Back then you either got something resembling an overgrown scooter or an i4 600. I chose the latter. Which by today's ideology is insane. That's why I say I don't think it was geared to the beginner rider. Not that i think it's too powerful, but just based on today's marketing schemes. I think your misunderstanding of the bike is, I'm , guessing, relatively young or young at riding at least. I think you're still in the mindset top speed is all that really matters on a bike. I know. I've been there. But top speed doesn't mean so much anymore to me. I'm not criticizing. We've all been there. But I don't think top speed was even a consideration by Yamaha when designing this bike. So I feel this bike is really geared to the rider who prefers the sport bike style, but wants a more streetable option. I'm not going to lie. If I didn't get the 60th Anniversary World GP version, I probably wouldn't have gotten the R7. But I did understand the market they were shooting for before I bought it. And it delivers for the targeted market. So all that said, I do still have my ZX6R. it was going to get a full track day bike conversion. But the weight distribution is so different on the 2 bikes that I use 2 completely different cornering techniques. I need some time on the road readjusting to the ZX6R on the street prior to track time. And to me now, a liter bike is a waste of money for the street or anything short of a big time extremely expensive track. I know that turned into a really long comment. I just know I've seen a couple of your videos where you seem to be chasing top speed in a straight line on a bike that wasn't designed with top speed in a straight line in mind. If that's the criteria of the best bike, just get a turbo busa and you're done. lol

hello,.. I have the mt 07 and I have already managed to give a max. of 230 km / h,.. and on average since new, with only 800 kms run, it gave me 225,.. that is, on average, it walks in these numbers, on the panel,. of course it also depends on certain conditions, wind, the pilot's weight, etc., however, it is noted that above 200 km/h it starts to lose power, but it will still get a little more speed but a little slower,.. , but the strange thing is that the r7 should give at least 10 to 15 km / h more derived from its design and several other improvements ,. however, it seems to be the opposite,..besides, I also think that the engines from 2020 onwards, because they are less restrictive, can offer a little more performance,..,. still the r7 is a good machine , very fun and beautiful ,.. and much more refined ,..but ,.. an r9 would be ,..brutal,...!!
