You're not alone. I've had no taste or smell at all since 2021. I'm resigned that I will never taste again and try not to dwell on it. But it's extremely depressing and nobody who doesn't suffer from thsi realizes how dismal it is.

I used to have great sense of smell before September 2020. I could smell my neighbor's noodles being cooked, poop being so pungent, and even the distinct smell of people. Almost 4 years later, I really felt that it significantly reduced my sense of smell. I miss the times, among other things, when I could smell the rice from afar and not worry being burnt. Now, I either have to stay close just to be able to smell it or set an alarm.

Yeah I feel the same. I cant smell things from afar anymore. Sometimes I cant even smell things up close if it doesnt trigger my nose sensors

I always just get a lingering smell of something burnt. Taste is off a little but not bad.

Ever since I caught the Delta version,in the early days of the Pandemic,to this day,still almost no sense of smell!

40 months of no distinct smell, and vague taste. I cant smell small scents and can very rarely smell strong smells, like pickles. Or something else strong. I can eat foods I used to hate simply cause I cant taste them as well. I can only have a semblance of taste when i blow my nose as hard as possible. Even then its in the hundreds of milliseconds of taste. It sucks not being able to smell or taste. Its debilitating even. I hate it. I was hesistant and tried my best to not be vaccinated. Now I wish I had run away from home to not be vaccinated. It still plagues me.

Don’t let that get you down. I haven’t been vaccinated and just got covid really bad, and my smell and taste are completely gone. To the point where it causes debilitating anxiety. I can’t smell if milk is rotten or anything. So rest assured that it’s just the disease itself, not your being vaccinated.

@JojoSmacks It's not your fault. I have heard people say that the vaccine caused the loss of taste and smell in some.

You can try pain specialists. They are typically the ones who administer these types of injections.

I get cold 2-4 times a year , and each time my sence of smell and taste keeps getting worse 😢 now I can't even smell strong essential oils , perfumes ,spices 😢 all food tastes and smell sad 😢
