Wish I could have gotten a 521 series truck like this one when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I love the 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks the very best. Wish Nissan would build these little girls again as they gave more than excellent gasoline mileage and we need that today since gas prices have gone out of sight these days. Get rid of the gas guzzling 4 door station wagon trucks with wagon wheels and thin tires on them and return to good economic basis once again.

Well, they got a gas guzzling 21-22mpg back in the day lol. That’s garbage for todays economy car standards lol. So not sure I want to go back to that lol. With this 90’s power train it now makes twice the hp and 26mpg. So you can buy your own and reminisce about 1970’s crappy fuel economy if you would like, but I am going to keep having fun over here with whatever wheels I want lol👍🏼

Chevy steelies? Oh ka swap. If you use a trans from a hard body ka it's shorter then the s13/14 or you could use a trans from a z series...good way to tell s13 vs s14 ka motor is the coil. S14 is internally. S13 is external...if s13 upper intake will have butterflies near the intake of the head. remove them for better flow. If s14, get a 91? Intake cam and put it on exhaust? Or vise versa... it's been too long.... Google it ... I might be wrong... Or completely right......edit: just rewond.. It's a s13 KA external coil...

Thanks for the info 👍🏼 we probably won’t change much of anything with the motor or trans. Maybe new clutch but we aren’t really going to invest much time or money into what we know we are swapping out later. Just gonna have some fun with it till we pull the trigger on the final motor and trans. Not sure what that will be yet
