I know the feeling! Got 2-71 Datsun 521's having one for 46 yrs while the other 28 yrs. Simple, reliable, easy to work on and highly modifiable which is why I kept them to this day even at age 65!!!

I would have loved to saved this 521 series Datsun/Nissan truck from the junkyard myself to. Wish these 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks would be manufactured again, they are easy on gas and tires, and for a little bit of light hauling, they worked perfectly. Gas is up to 5 dollars a gallon these days and these little 4 cylinder trucks and cars are what the world over truly needs.

Cool video. There is a truck like this near my house just sitting behind a business. Not moving. I’m thinking about trying to buy it. Long time Datsun owner, but currently without one. Yours looks super cool and this one looks similar. I’m not sure mechanically how it is.

Should have left the wheels and tires that this little truck had on it along with the Dog dish hubcaps. It looked better that way instead of the ugly wagon wheels and thin tires that was put on it.

This is awesome. I’ve got a 521 also! I already wanted the blue but I got a patina red and it really grew on me. Post your @ for ratsun or others so we can follow the forums!
