I've been using trackballs for 5 years. Love them. So much easier to whip around in game play. Limited desk space required. Logitech M570.

Trackball mice are fkn amazing. I used a microsoft trackball mouse for 15 years and maintenance was just take out the giant ball on top and clean it. Mouse doesnt move anywhere and you can make very quick movements in fps games

I've used Logitech trackballs for years and have wondered when they might refresh the design... Too bad the alterations are so superficial in addition to adding moving parts which is to say more points of potential failure. Personally, I've long thought it might be good to replace the trackball with a touchpad thus lessening the chance of loss or breakage while adding potential programmable gesture and tapping functionality.
