Hey Guys! Hope you're having fun playing Lets GO! I wanted to make this video to try and clear up some false information going around! Hopefully this guide will get you the information you need to find Shiny Pokemon in Lets GO! I wanted to include things like the IV Checker, Madame Celedon and more to give you a full view on Shiny Pokemon. We also have a bit more information than when the game came out so I wanted to include that to clear up confusion! There is no need to over complicate things. Sometimes bad luck happens, just hang in there and have fun!

Coming from a coding background, the RAM theory was ridiculous to begin with. The amount of time and effort you would have to put into coding in order to keep those pokemon in memory and manage them would be pointless. When a pokemon disappears you delete it and then when a new one spawns in you create a new memory location for it

I think the memory theory is BS as well but it wouldn't be difficult to code and it would hardly use any memory allocation assuming the data structure is allocated statically. Garbage collection languages might have a more difficult time with this, but it would be a fairly simple feat in C++. Pokemon values are randomly selected instantaneously and stored in let's say a class. Every pokemon's values are then pushed to a data structure (stack1) which is pushed to a function (passed by reference) to display them on screen. Let's arbitrarily say that function is designed to display a maximum of four pokemon on-screen at one time: stack1.length = 4. If the pokemon is not interacted with before it despawns, the index value will be pushed onto stack2 which we will say has a maximum of 16 indices to hold pokemon values: stack2.length = 16. If the pokemon is interacted with, that pokemon's index value in stack 1 is set to null and is not pushed to stack 2. If the amount of objects of stack1 + stack2 < 20 (the total number of pokemon allowed to be generated and live in memory at one time as arbitrarily set above), then a new pokemon is generated and pushed to stack 1. If stack1 + stack 2 = 20 then a number of objects in stack2 are pushed back to stack1 and are then displayed on screen. Stack2 will continuously be pushed to stack1 until a pokemon is interacted with, and if interacted with, a new pokemon will be generated and pushed to stack1 because stack1 + stack2 =/= 20. When the algorithm has no further use, all pointer indices set to null. No memory leaks, not a lot of garbage collecting necessary because the memory is statically allocated. Of course it could be dynamically allocated and the algorithm would change, and it would take up less memory usage when a small number of objects are present in stack2, but the principle is the same. I'm sure it could also be coded a lot more efficiently, but what I have here would take up literally just bytes because we are pointing to a section in memory that has already been created (per the function to randomly generate pokemon). This code adds just a few thousand clock cycles to the CPU, but would also potentially save millions of clock cycles depending on the algorithm to generate all of the pokemon's values. The GPU may also save clock cycles if it's programmed to leave graphical information in memory. It's super obvious this doesn't exist in game from anecdotal experience, but also because the same functions that handle how pokemon are generated and stored in alolan trades are most likely reused with different conditions to handle pokemon in the wild.

Have the shiny charm and lures active. Took me 3 nights/9 hrs to find a shiny nidoran male. Found 2 Shiny Fearow and ignored them for the 4 iv nidorino. After getting him i went to route 4 for a shiny chamander and after just 3 minutes I got a shiny Dragonite. Then while chaining chanseys for exp I run into 2 shiny dittos after only a chain of 9. Just another quick tip, if the Pokémon you’re hunting does it’s second animation that means it’s getting ready to run. You’ll notice that a Pokémon does the same animation every time you try to catch it but once you see the other animation(different from the first animation) than it’s getting ready to run. So run away from it first before it runs from you to continue your catch combo

You should have mentioned that the higher your catch combo and the more you send to prof Oak the easier it will be to catch pokemon even outside of combos. Chansey is now a green circle for me when using ultra balls.

And then the second one is when having a catch combo they said after 31 you’ll get 4 perfect stats/ivs (idkif they’re the same thing )does that apply to all the following Pokémon within that combo and if u catch another species and break the combo at 31 does that one get 4 perfect stats

@@diegoolivo5845 1. No. 2. Yes, but only to the *same species* (if you were catching Pidgey, it would then only work for Pidgey). 3. The Pokémon you catch and thus breaks your combo, *will not* have the 4 perfect IVs. Hope this helps :)

There are two things that I didn't know for sure before this video: I thought that a combo would only raise shiny chances for the specific species you were comboing, and I thought running away from the Pokemon you were combo in would break the combo. I stand still when I shiny hunt, it’s not “lazy” to do so, it’s a complete waste of money to constantly run around. I also don’t just sit there and stare at the screen, I have my Switch in view while I’m drawing so I can monitor the spawns.

I prefer faster shiny and actually playing the game. When u switch screen to despawn respawn then u get more chances.

I’ve tried the resetting the area method and it just wasn’t fun for me, I was constantly worrying about whether I missed a shiny because it was obscured behind a wall. I’m not here to tell anyone how to hunt, people can hunt however they want, if that method works for you fantastic.

In all honesty? Hunt how you wanna hunt my dude. Some people do the encounter-runaway thing. Some refresh the route. Some just hang out in the area. They're all high chance, and sure, some might be "more efficient" and whatnot. But it's your game- do what works best for you. -Just don't be me and watch a shiny spawn, then have it despawn when you accidentally run into something else-

B_kursed I’ve been doing a shiny badge quest on Let’s Go Eevee so I have to stand still or I’ll tear through my lures. Once I have a good way to make money, ie Cerulean Cave, I’ll do the encounter and run method but for now I have to do the stand still method. My next hunt I have to be vigilant because I’m going for Meowth so I have to actually pay attention to the screen.

the theory about pokemon reappearing after not encountering them is wrong because i stood still for 1 hour and found a shiny and i let it go away again it didn't come back and i waited for 30 min after that so that theory is tested and busted

Yesterday (18.8.2019) I got lucky after only 98 charmander the 99th was shiny and it is amazing. It took me a day but worth it 4 the charizard.

Geo Rychel Yes. I did it yesterday and got about $110,000 in about an hour. The levels of the gym leaders are about the same as the league the first time. So if you beat the league, you can beat all the gym leaders.

Awesome! Thank you so much! I have used your method and have caught a total of 7 shinies so far (Weedle, Magikarp, Nidorino, Ghastly, Growlith, Tentacool, and CHANSEY!!!). Also, fun fact: By sending pokemon to Professor Oak, he actually helps you capture pokemon easier by increasing catch-rate. I went from using ultra balls to guranteed catch-rate regular pokeballs on pokemon (including Chansey) I have been chaining because of sending pokemon to Prof. Oak. This also saves money from buying so many Ultra Balls. *Edited* JUST CAUGHT A SHINY CATERPIE WITH THIS METHOD WHILE WATCHING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!

Yo, legit?? I did notice when chaining Nidoran-m for my first shiny hunt that the rings became green with pokeballs when originally they were more yellow, but had no idea what caused it. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I did send him a bunch of Nidorans part way through the chain.. That's actually really cool, bless you.

I'm going to enjoy shiny hunting once I finish the Pokedex. Update: since playing Let's Go Eevee I've encountered 2 shinies completely at random while searching for other Pokemon for the Pokedex. They are a shiny exeggcute and a shiny weepinbell. The execute was while trying to find a Nidoqueen on route 24 and the weepinbell was on route 15 while I was trying to find a Tauros.
