This is actually good news. I love my E500 to death but the range is just abhorrent. Everything else about it - Weight, build quality, portability, display, brakes, power for it's size, amazing. If I could get 20 miles out of this, even 15, that would be a game changer

The one other thing that would put it back on the map for me is pneumatic tires if suspension can't make it. Or some sort of tire redesign that has significantly more cushion.

Punctures have never been a problem for me, so having some big tires would be nice. Suspension adds too much weight (that could be used for a larger battery instead).

Sad to hear about the model eleven - was looking forward to it but completely understand the strategic decision to stop production. These things happen - but the most important thing is that they are refunding backers. Great business decision.

I own a Model one 500 & I love it. The compact is amazing. The speed is decent. Love the acceleration! My only gripe is no suspension. (I live in NYC aka pothole heaven) and the distance. Overall. I love my unagi.

Fwiw, I rented a 500 while in Austin for a month and got bit by both the lack of suspension and range - twice had to Uber back within a mile or two from home. Now in NYC I have an E-TWOW booster v and it takes uncertain terrain much better and have taken it out for a few 10 mile loops without speed degradation, where I only did about 5 miles on the unagi before it started to slow down. Main issue with the booster v is the electronic brake isn’t as strong and the throttle is touchy by comparison, but it is a bit faster and more compact/lighter. Can Sling it over my shoulder and walk around subway stations with ease. No doubt though, loved the design of the unagi.

I hope that is true on the hill climb, because even on dual motor with the current model, it struggles to get me up certain hills in my area, my speeds basically drop to 3-4 MPH. Other than that, I love Unagi Scooter.

Do you have it in dual motor speed 3 mode? Mine eats steep hills up 75 % charged but only for 3 blocks!!! Than th snake ride for further hill.With 145lbs though 😮.😊

Shame about the model 11. It was the suspension, removable battery and hot swap tyres that peaked my interest not the fancy software included. Still believe unagi should look to develop one with suspension and/or a bigger wheel size. Even look to solid foam filled tyre technologies as it’s the ride quality of the model one that puts me off it. I have an etwow s+ so has small rubber wheels and suspension and even that can feel a bit bumpy.

I got 880 miles on my scooter I love it I just wish it had more miles and more battery but overall I like it oh also some suspension NYC is crazy pothole hell

Gah, bought an e500 outright two months ago. The range is barely enough, I can't go far off my path. I wish I could upgrade to the Voyager battery, I guess the new electronics are cool.

Damn should have waited, bought the Dual Motor a about a month ago, and now this is out. I get about 6-7 miles before the annoying beeping. Other than that a great scooter but would like to get at least 10 miles of range. Is there a way to trade in for the new one?

My main reason for buying an Ebike instead of a scooter: Standing still on a scooter gets extremely cold in anything other than perfect summer heat. At least on an ebike I can pedal to keep warm and use the throttle to avoid sweat. Also getting some exercise here and there feels good too.

I never thought about that aspect (Re: getting cold), so thanks for bringing it up! I have an e-bike, but to complete my micromobility arsenal, I thought it’d be nice to have an e-scooter to ride for when I’m not carrying any cargo, so I don’t have to deal w/ the size/bulk of an e-bike when it’s not being ridden. I guess living in SoCal, it doesn’t get *_that_* cold, and I suppose I could just dress warmer on those chillier days, since I won’t be able to work up a sweat standing still.

it's a different thing. It's like comparing the difference of ebike and motorbike. Different vehicle for different use case. An escooter is foldable and lightweight to the point you can take it into shops instead of locking it outside. It can be taken in elevators, in offices, easily up and down stairs, etc. Mine lives in my bedroom when I'm at home

Besides these interviews and reviews, please also consider doing some educational videos, like how to pick a scooter or what matters in spec and how they change performance in real world scenarios. Personally, I would like to see a 36v vs 48v vs 52v system or 1000W single motor vs 500W dual motor, something like that.

My Model One has a mere 448kms on the clock and yet the tires have almost worn out...rendering the machine useless. This is my second Model One...so where does this leave me? At least the new scooter has switch out tires...

Man I was hoping to see this model have suspension Or at least some better tires. Riding in NYC streets my E500 is rough! I mean I have actually wiped out a few times and scraped my knees and hands from hitting a crack or a bump and the scooter wheels just crashing into it sending me flying. I love my Unagi but I am glad its a subscription because I wouldn’t pay full price for this scooter the ride is just wayyyyy too harsh. Literally I feel every little imperfection on the ground.

Definitely not worth the full price in NYC unless the range and ride handling are seriously addressed, while riding at speed the steering stem came completely loose swiveling the wheel sideways instantly stopping my forward momentum at almost 20 mph I don't know physics but what I can tell you is that formula combined with NYC streets is no bueno, still waiting to see an e scooter that can take on NYC properly!

In my personal opinion, I fail to grasp the justification behind the adoption of the subscription model in relation to the acquisition of the scooter. Individuals may opt to pay for the subscription for a limited duration, perhaps one, two, or even three months, only to subsequently decide to retain or sell the scooter. Consequently, this renders the subscription redundant for the subsequent consumer, as they are unable to utilize the scooter due to its locked status resulting from the subscription. Moreover, I am left pondering whether the revenue generated from the sale of the raw materials utilized in the manufacturing process compensates for these losses. Numerous questions arise in my mind whenever I encounter the subscription model. However, I suppose if it proves successful for the relevant parties involved, then it must serve a purpose.

My Scooter took 2 weeks to come and only last 1 mile a charge. They replaced my scooter took a week and it only last about a mile and a half. I'm almost about to give up but I'm going to try to see if they can give me the bigger one to see if I had better luck with that one. If not, oh well. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm just sad though because the scooter is beautiful. I wish it performed like they advertised

:C I didn`t want to buy Model Eleven, but I thought It might be one of the coolest scooters. It looks like the bar was set too high. Carbon fiber + Swapable battery + Ai cameras + Suspension + Wifi + GPS tracking + Speaker + 1000 W motor on top of it + Make all this stuff realiable after 10 000 km + Make all this bundle weight 14,5kg. When even new Xiaomi without any of those cool features doesnt weight 14,5kg anymore. So maybe it is safe to say, that the Unagi Eleven is more likely impossible to build, and thats why it was canceled. With all those features it could be realiable at 25kg overall weight, with carbon fiber. But it wont be so different to other brands with such a weight. It would be just another unportable scooter for garage inthusiasts.

E scooter manufacturers should run their scooter testing in NYC,if your scooter can make it here it can make it anywhere, Unagi has a lot of potential it's just not ready for NYC streets
