In in Australia you can get avocado as a zero point food. It’s asks you to pick 2 items out of potatoes, corn, avocado, oats, whole grains and the two that you choose will be zero points

@@phylliscrane9175 from my nosing around I gather we will be choosing our zero points foods. At least some of them based on our quiz answers and preferences. Not exactly sure what all that entails but I like the sound of it. It’s also kind of sounding like the more zero point foods we will pick means the fewer daily points we will have to fool around with. We shall see. I’m so excited for the 8th to get here!!!! I'm in Australia and on day 3 of the new PersonalPoints. The reaction over here is love it, hate it, leaving, swearing, embracing, learning curve. But WW is very supportive in Connect with questions, and there are Zoom meetings galore where you can ask questions. My reaction: I am very happy with my particular PP (I was on Purple and this is very similar for me) and am learning, but think in a few weeks it will be all coming naturally. Can't say enough about how much WW is there to help with the changes.

I’m currently on purple too and have done very well. If they only give me one starch, I will most likely leave and do the purple plan on my own. (I am not diabetic) The “good carbs” that are 0 on purple keep me from reaching for the bad carbs. I’m disappointed.
@chrisscinta19733 жыл бұрын
I found purple was the best plan I ever did. After 1.5 years of “ maintaining” on freestyle and blue, I found purple to be the easiest to track and the most satisfying. Lost 12 pounds in 3 months. I hope I can do something similar to purple!!
@sharon11293 жыл бұрын
@@chrisscinta1973 Yep I agree. I love Purple and I'm really happy because I'm doing Purple with a few minor changes. Select that you don't want to have sweets and salty snacks and alcohol. Pick your starchy choices, and your protein on what you eat most days and go from there. I give my PP (so similar to Purple) a 10/10. You can go back and redo the quiz over and over again so if you're not happy and do it until it suits you.
@chrisscinta19733 жыл бұрын
@@sharon1129 thanks. I was hoping to hear that. I’m just in love with purple, never ate so good, so satisfied and easy to follow. In addition it forces you to follow serving sizes on those starchy choices and whole grains. They are so filling it’s easy! I never have a problem going out to eat because baked potatoes are almost always on the menu. I’m gonna follow your advice ❤️

Member of WW. I’m excited and ready for the change. It sounds like tracking of food, water, & exercise will be crucial to use points or gain points. I’m trying to eat as a pescatarian and I hope that WW will remember that I don’t eat meat and stop offering recipes with meat. Also my husband is type II diabetic. Since I need to cook for him too, what would be a good way to get recipes low in carbs.? Sara, I enjoy following you with The Holy Mess, and we joined you for the WFPB challenge this past Oct. 25. Ex WW now doing my own low carb. Congratulations on your weight loss and the maintenance for over 20 years! My issue with WW or any point or bite program is the points never line up with the amount of calories you should to consume. Even counting my free foods my calories are way under 1000 calories if I only eat my allotted points.

I’m excited about the new diabetic plan, I know they originally put fruit as zero because back in the day people were choosing skinny cows and fiber one bars over a banana since they were 2 points. So they wanted to encourage eating fruit and that was a way to do it. However I need to be mindful so it makes more sense to count points for a banana or bread

I am definitely apprehensive about this new program. I rejoined WW back in June 2021 & have been on the blue plan. Over the years I have been on WW numerous times & have lost probably over 85 pounds all toll. Since June 2021 to present I am within 2 pounds of the goal weight that I selected for myself. My apprehension comes in because when this new program becomes effective around 11/11/21, I will be starting my vacation to go on a cruise that day. I usually do not drink & really haven’t since June (except maybe a few glasses of wine here & there) but I am sure I will be eating much more food & drinking alcohol then I have since June. I did purchase an internet package so I can see how the changes are going to affect me. I am also a diabetic & hate most vegetables so I think I am going to have a hard time on this new program. Going on a cruise at the same time as the new program is rolling out is going to be very difficult for me. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I don’t want to gain a bunch of weight back for possibly going off plan for the week of vacation.
