It seems that those who like it like more hydrating, light coverage and those who don't either use too much and/or like fuller coverage foundations. That one TikTok where the girl put two handfuls on was ridiculous. I'm sorry but using that much foundation is unnecessary and purely for clicks.

I agree. I believe she does it only for the views. The filters help us not see all the textures in he4 face after she applies 100 layers. Which makes me so mad because at least show us the real affect without filters. Robert Welsh has Said it once and once again putting that much makeup on will not last on your skin long before cracking and separating!!

I have it in porcelain. I am dry, put on all my skincare plus sunscreen. I love, love this. I use my hands, warming it up. I then tap it in with a brush. I am 62 years old.

Hi, Allie. I'm probably unusual among your followers. I'm 75 years old and have been wearing makeup for 60 years. Needless to say, I'm not impressed by much. Most of it is formulated with younger consumers in mind, and rightly so. It seems that however lightweight a foundation or tinted moisturizer I use, it always seems to end up looking excessive. I have to say, however, that I'm intrigued enough by this foundation and your review to give it a try. I'm hoping this one will be different.

I just wish she had showed us in natural lighting. I’ve tried the absolute work foundations that look decent in studio lighting, so I feel like it’s not a fair representation of her skin and the product working together. Nobodies skin lacks texture the way these cameras and studio lighting present.

Thank you so much Allie for giving this a true honest review. I feel like so many ppl go in with negative thoughts because of how it looks in the jar. It was made for more mature women that have dryer aging skin and I love that. We're all going to be mature women one day so I love to see companies catering to that. I am 34 years old with oily combination skin and when I first opened up this foundation I freaked out and thought “no way this will work for me”, but I can honestly say I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! It really is true that it “looks like your skin, but better”. I wore it all day to a Sunday outdoor family gathering (very hot day in texas) and it made my skin look flawless the entire time. Not greasy looking at all, just a healthy glow. I set it with the Saie Translucent powder and I’ll tell you these two products go great together. All in all, I’m a big fan of this foundation

I am a huge fan of the "tinted moisturizer" option. I have used the Lumene Invisible Illumination skin tint (universal light is my shade). It is also in a tub and I have a mini spatula that I use. I love the feel on my skin and it covers just enough. This product you have just reviewed really intrigues me ! I appreciate how honest you are.

I could see this being beneficial to older skin types with dry skin. It does seem to give a beautiful finish that blurs. If I used it, I'd have to make sure to use very lightweight skincare and sunscreen underneath. Great review, Allie!

It was specifically made for us older women with dry skin. I can’t wait to try it! I don’t do full coverage or matte foundation. They all look horrible on me. I prefer light, maybe medium coverage once in awhile, and it’s nice to see companies think of us. This is Bobbie Brown’s company, so she is looking out for those of us who aren’t 20 anymore.

I got married in the late 1980's, and I used a cream foundation, and loved it. So this does appeal to me. At the time, I only used my hands to apply my foundation, so the packaging doesn't bother me that much.... unless one wants to carry it in a makeup bag! The concealer sticks do interest me a lot!!

This feels so greasy on my combo-dry skin but makes my skin looks so amazing! But it doesn't last that long so that's another downside. Happy to hear your opinion on this! This actually reminds me of Iris&Romeo's Best Skin Days, which is less balmy but still moisturizing. I think I like that better. I wish more influencers would review it. I personally think it's better than this.

Hi Sweet Girl💕 I have “Mature” skin and I’m not even remotely interested in Jones Road. I’d rather use my CoverGirl + Olay Ageless Foundation, the pump, not the jar. Has fantastic coverage, very lightweight and not greasy. 😁 You’re doing a great job!

I've ordered some and a couple of the pencils. I think as it's really a rich face cream and all face creams come in that type of packaging, I can understand why it's probably the most suited container. I have mature dry skin so can't wait to try it. I think the negatives concerning the separation are a little unfair...it contains oils so it's natural! Many serums need shaking so if you need to stir a cream,then it's just the same.

Bobbi brown used to do a tinted face balm which was in a pot. I really liked it - great for dry skin but very skin like. They discontinued it a while back and worked better with fingers

It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this foundation. The Tinted Balm was great for my super dry skin - except for the fact that the lightest shade wasn’t fair enough for me, so doesn’t look like the JR is going to work out unfortunately.

I am so fascinated with the idea of a balm foundation in a jar like that, would love to see you review more of them. I am totally going to try one, but maybe one that is less messy? But the formula sounds lovely for a casual occasion. Not of fan of fragrance, but if the formula is worth it, I can deal if its not too bad.

I like the way it looks on your skin, so skin like. It doesn't look heavy on your skin and to me this is the no makeup makeup look and I like it very much. Allie, this review comes at the moment I tried L'Oreal's new Age Perfect Tinted 4-in-1 Balm. From what you say the products seem very similar, and may represent a trend! So far I'm really liking the L'Oreal balm. I've always loved everything Bobbi Brown - except the price point. So let the winner prevail!

Interesting products. The foundation cream's ingredients list shows ginger root oil and pelargonium graveolens (a type of scent-leaf geranium which my gardening experience tells me is the most fragrant type of scented geranium), so it's a no-go for me. And you'd think Bobbi Brown would know enough to add some form of sunscreen in such a creamy formula. And the price! Thru Credo, it's $44.00. I could get another tube of IT CC Cream with a less-irritating fragrance and a mineral-only SPF of 50 as well as better coverage for that kind of money! But I love your presentations and your "let's jump in!" eagerness to try it out for us! Now, I might use that face pencil, that looks useful. Thanks Allie!

A combination of skin care and a hint of colour is my personal daily go for. My skin is quite OK so I don't need much coverage. My current favourite is tinted Effaclar duo by La Roche-Posay, during sunny days combined with SPF from the same line. Shades fit me prefectly, pores are blemished, fades smoohly during the day - literally 5* solution. I only add touch of powder and go out of the door. Greetings from the Czech Republic 🌸

Have you tried the Loreal balm foundation yet? It's more of a solid formula compared to this. It's beautiful on the skin, it's part of their Age Perfect line and I'd love to see you review that one!! I'm dying to try this I love Bobby Brown's aesthetic, it's clean, fresh and minimalist. I'm 60 with dryish maturing skin and love the way it sounds. Sometimes simple is better, considering how crazy life can get lol!

I am much older and I use cream foundations because of having dry skin while I also have aging skin, and like you packaging is not good but product is, I have noticed a difference in how I apply my makeup with this foundation , and when i wear this foundation my grown son mentioned that my skin is so smooth an fresh on those days he did add more then normal, so yes I am enjoying this product, from Arizona stay safe stay healthy stay cool 😎

I love the look you created! I wish you had shown it in a GRWM format and then mentioned that you would leave a time stamp so those who wanted to skip this part could do so. Not criticizing...just asking for (and wanting) more since this is the first of your videos I have seen in years. I love a foundation by Chantecaille that also comes in a jar. What I do to make it more sanitary and travel-friendly, is to buy a small travel pot for creams and I scoop a bit of the foundation into it (that way I do not open the original jar that often, the product does not come into contact with air and other things so often, so it lasts longer) and use it off of that. It's even smaller than the usual foundation bottle, so it becomes even more practical and even if you go in with fingers/brush/whatever, it only lasts in the small pot for as long as much product you put into it (which, in fact, can be for quite long, as with my particular foundation a little goes a looooong way, so it's not like you have to refill the travel pot too often - but this is up to you how much you put in), so any potential contamination of the product and shortening its shelf-life is limited. And, with a tiny pot, it's not even very messy. To be honest, some of my concealers (e.g. the Dior Forever one, which I otherwise love) in their standard concealer tubes somehow get much messier around the opening than my little pot-foundation jar.

I'm about to be 45 in a few weeks, my skin definitely could use a richer more moisturizing formula. The original girl that went viral on TikTok made me laugh my butt off, the amount of product she used was absolutely insane. No foundation would look good in that amount! I'm actually really excited to try this product now. Thanks for the review.

The foundation looks amazing on you 😄 Also I think the Jones Road foundation seems similar to the Jane iredale liquid mineral foundation. It truly looks like real skin

I feel like a lot of people don't read product descriptions. They buy a foundation without reading up on its texture, coverage, etc. They use it once without properly informing themselves on it and end up with disappointed because they chose a product thats just not what they wanted. Not everything will work for you - not just because of your skin type but also because you don't want something like this and I could see that happening a lot with a product like that

I've been afraid to try this formulation because I do have oily skin. I also need a little bit more coverage because I have uneven skin on my face, and I don't know if it would keep it covered for most of the day.

I can't use the Jones Road foundation and concealer because I'm about 15 shades lighter than Allie with straight pink undertones. But I get a similar true tinted moisturizer vibe by mixing 2 drops of my Dermablend pigment drops (shade 0C) with a thin moisture or a primer with whatever texture I want.
