New workbench! (And some news!)

When it comes to Sci Fi model building, everybody needs somewhere to work - a workbench to focus on their model building...
And I am no different!
I share how I built myself a brand new workbench, tailored to creating more, bigger and better sci fi related projects, and I also explain why I haven't been posting videos for a while...
This is probably one of the biggest woodworking projects I have ever undertaken so far!

Haha thanks! Yeah, the "cheapskate route" probably wasn't the best idea for this bench, especially as it will be on show... Now that I've built the workbench, I do plan on adding stuff to it to improve it, such as lighting and organisation... Keep checking back for updates! 👍👍🙂

The project is very realistic as in: obstacles started accumulating and premises shifted, but it the end it worked out fine ;) This noisy neighbour is a blessing, the situation allows you to stretch hours work hours (which is one of the truly finite ressources). Will this bench be used for filming, and if so, how have you planned to install the lighting equipment? (BTW I came across a good practical idea: a computer screen makes for a good diffuse light/softbox, and as a bonus you can change the colour!) 15:29 The shape in the background looks a bit like a diorama of a derelict ship sitting on the floor of the ocean. A project well done! You just convinced me to make a video about (mystery devices) which I build from leftovers too, but it will probably be winter before it's done (I'm working to add more designs to my catalog before making videos).

Yeah, there has been a lot happening which is why I haven't had the opportunity to post videos, but now I am more settled I will be able to start again 🙂🙃 I was in a quandary with the late night cutting as I knew it would be noisy, but only quick... None of my neighbours said anything, so looks like I'm in the clear! I have lighting ideas which will be added to the bench, but I didn't get round to it yet, which is why I didn't film it... But yeah, things will be good 😁 And yeah, the diorama in the corner is what remains of my airlock door diorama! Haha 🔨🛠🔧🧰🗜 Repairs needed!

Thanks! I know many people would probably recommend I glue it together as well, but I deliberately didn't in case I ever need to dismantle it for some reason... But yeah, its sturdy enough to support my weight! 🏋️‍♂️
