New World Endgame Guide: What to do at lvl60

About time you hit level 60 in New World so here's what to do next. You've got an expertise score to build and a whole new 60+ area called Brimstone Sands to explore. You also have a heartgem slot to unlock. Hopefully you get some use out of this guide.
Also freindly reminder that the Knights of the Coconut went ahead and coconutted in everyone else's eye by finishing objectives first for the Return to Aeternum Event that just ended.

I'm watching this very well put together video mostly because I wondered if the endgame had changed from a few months ago when I tired of the game. edit: deleted the rest. I hate endgames. I play for the fun of the gameplay, trying out gear and building things. But they've ruined that with requiring material from dungeons I don't want to do. So I'll play my way till Diablo 4.

I'd avoid spending your gypsum orbs aside from your jewelry and maybe ur main weapons. Your expertise will go up fast just spamming expeditions or doing elite chest runs. Instead save your orbs for when you hit 600 GS and get umbral shards to get ur gear to 625. Also avoid PvP until you're 590 expertise in everything so you can upgrade the gear you get from pvp track to 625

what weapon combos are you using?

@@RozeMMO using Spear Bow combo. Bow is 590GS and when upgraded to 600GS its basically BIS because the Bow is a named drop from a boss. And the Spear is 610GS from the Brimstone Questline. But now I'm stuck and cant do the next quest bcs I just die.

@@Luis_1605 hmm which part are you stuck at? I'm gonna assume you're wearing light gear and light gear is great for dealing damage but after the nerfs a while back not great for taking damage. Spear/bow is high dmg but lower survivability with a PvE build due to it's lower mobility and precision hits. If you want an easier time of things you could always switch to heavy armour, SnS with a tower shield and maybe something like hammer if you're willing to respec to str. The damage will be lower but the cc will keep you alive much longer even in mediocre 580 gear just make sure youve got 100 to 150 con. I'd suggest something like this: nwdb.info/build?skills=0-j1ovsw-ns33hc_5-nj9oro-mhg5j4 -the point is to block damage instead of dodge it which is way easier -primarily use sns, then switch to the warhammer for full combo before switching back -Defender's Resolve is a free mini health pot -mix light and heavy sns attack combos for best results -hammer is also your cc tool if you overpull and need to book it If you wanna stay dex then I suggest switching the spear (or bow, whichever you prefer less) with a hatchet and getting the defy death + berserk perk since it usually means you can power through and kill something before it kills you in PvE (or at least run away and heal in time) with no stagger issues. Also switch to medium armour. so something like this:nwdb.info/build?skills=7-pwng6c-m7pzpc With either one of these switches, your gs is likely going to take a hit but honestly gs isnt everything when doing MSQ content, survivability is king. GS becomes a bigger deal when doing expeditions and for high lvl PvP stuff If you wanna keep using Bow/Spear then youve gotta do your best to kite nonstop and spend more of your time dodging rather than damaging enemies.

This is probably the problem 90% of these games have. They have pinaccles between each update. You end up with a large flood of new or returning players on update day. And the game feels great forba few days. And then everyone falls off. Unfortunately theres no real games like the old singleplayers used to have where theres a endgame after the story. For instance like the forest. The first one has 100s of hours of gameplay after the story. Unfortunately pinacle is the issue games like this. Destinty and countless others have. Unfortunately
