Note: Rune of Helios anywhere will buff you, as long as they're a friendly who casted the spell to get the rune. You can stagger runes if you have more than 1 user.

Yeah, I intermittently have ice storm and pillaror fire just do nothing, don't even agro. Ice shower sometimes won't apply frostbite aswell

hey Xaryu, I'm a mage user but recently I've been struggling if I want to swap out either fire staff or the ice gauntlet for the rapier. What is your take on this matter? And if you must swap one out for rapier, which one would you pick and why? Thank you in advance!

the typical choice is Rapier and Ice Gauntlet. Truth be told Ice Gauntlet is typically going to carry you farther then the Fire Staff consider the Ice Gauntlet is still very dangerous at range ad the abilities just overshadow the fire staff's in every way. Also freezing people n place with Ice Shower allows you to pull off amazing stuff with the Rapier.

I rock rapier/fire staff. You have huge instant burst, low cds and tons of mobility. I'll sometimes use ice gauntlet instead of fire but personally fire is much more fun to me. Try em out and see what you like playing the most.

Rapier+gauntlet is a bad choice bcs without skills on gauntlet against good players u can only run with rapier. Staff+rapier give u a pressure+burst+mobily+defense in every situation. Dont forget that u are waste 250 int bonus with rapier+gauntlet

Take passives to get you to the next ability you want, you don't need to take abilities to advance through the ability tree.

Hey xar does refreshing frost work the way you explained in the video? The tooltip reads that it reduces cooldowns when "casting an ABILITY in a frosted area." Does this still include heavy attacks?

Light attacks causes burn is actually insane. The burn stacks, and after 6 light attacks people take up to 18% weapon damage in burn dot (3% * 6 light attacks), if u crit, its an added dot, also incinerate and fire ball will add more dot.

Spamming light when you have a clear shot is nice and it helps in mage duels when you need to break the rhythm of heavy trades

With pilar of fire double hits sometimes and the armour perk for resetting its cd when hitting multiple enemies, in outpost rush or wars I can cast it one after another right away 😂 When it crits applies burn as well and I have time only to cast fire balls in between. (Like you mentioned in the video)

There is no reason to have both Light/Heavy perks its a waste of perks. The Flame Pillar / Fireball perks are for EACH target hit!!! You will have full mana the entire fight.

As a pvp rat I can say I’ll-gotten is amazing for damn near every class/build , (it glitches a lot not giving you the perks/hp regen, but if you take it off and put it back on it will fix it)

Just a heads up. The "Singe" takent in the Fire Mage tree has been bugged for a couple months. it actively reduces your Crit chance by 5-10% depending upon gear / weapons. There has been zero mention of Amazon acknowledging it, fixing it or anything. Extensive testing has been done on it and some info has been posted on the official forums.

@@Erumyr I’m sorry, I wasn’t very clear. Hearty gives you 8-10% additional stamina. The way rolls work mean that so long as you have at least 101 total stamina, you can roll three times in a row. The first roll costs 50, the second roll costs 50, and the third costs 1. Not worthwhile with medium or heavy. Not worthwhile if you’re a DEX character (as you get an extra roll through your DEX passives). But if you’re running light armour with INT or STR I think getting hearty on one gem or armour piece is a must.

Love the build guide, im a rapier and gauntlet player and the points you broughtup about your gauntlet perks has me considering speccing back into weakening gust, I stayed off it thinking I would be switching to rapier after popping storm but I really dont do that near as much as I thought I would. I run 50 dex 275 int and around 100 con and the rapuer scaling with an int gem is nuts, I can reliably pump out 5-6k damage in one light attack combo with the rapier even with only 50 points into dex

Pillar of Fire is incredibly bugged since the sacred ground crouch bug hotfix. It hits maybe 1 in 4 times and even less if enemies are on uneven ground. Are you finding the same thing?

There are faction seals sold under the first tab that allows you to change the stats to dex/con, str/con ect. They only cost 100tokens. Faction gear is a must have since resilience is bugged and applies the dmg resistance as a flat % before any damage is actually calculated.

Go for the gear that gives you the most INT. The only time you wouldn’t is if you had a staff like his and your upgrade doesn’t give keen or enchanted. Damage > defense. Learn to dodge like a monkey man.

If you look in the first tier of gear that is available, you will find an item called the Occultist Seal (it will have the name of your faction before it). You can use this on a piece of faction armor to change it's stats to INT and CON.

Yes its crafted. 90% of your end game jewelry is going to come from crafts. Theres very few mobs that drop jewelry water mark upgrades and they're rare at that. So get JC up or save some gold.

For leveling i would try to focus on the firestaff, get pillar and fireball and get the passives that give u mana back on heavy/heavies cost no mana, those are crucial for pve leveling. Icegauntlet currently is „useless“ in pve imo since its totally bugged :/ i would still try to lvl it a bit for pvp but yeah

Not confirmed if it's an exploit, but double fire staff + pillar of fire + animation canceling light attacks puts out more single target DPS than the other abilities. You can swap the 2nd staff with a Life Staff + INT gem + heavy armor to make yourself a tanky machine gun.

It is confirmned to be an exploit and it will get you banned. Also works with lifestaff and two users on my server used this in war. They are now banned, so please do not use exploits. New World mods are very strict with those who do.
